It’s time for the equivocation in the House to stop and the virtual prosecution to begin. There is more than enough public evidence to reasonably infer that Trump committed serious violations of federal law, up to and including conspiracy with a hostile foreign government to usurp the election laws of the United States. This is not to mention the obvious money laundering with a lot of the same people that went on in his business for decades.
Trump University alone is sufficient for impeachment. The “high crime” is fraud.
But that’s just a side show. The strongest impeachable offense is sedition: assisting in an insurrection against the laws of the United States. Trump has committed this crime again and again and the penalty for criminal conviction is that the person can’t hold office. That’s right in the statute. And the Ds can make a very strong public case that Trump did exactly what the statute says in plain English (none of the collusion vs. conspiracy game playing). The language of 18 USC 2383 is “incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages” in the offending actions. Trump freakin’ asked the Russians to hack Hillary Clinton. His son, son-in-law, and campaign chairmen met with Russians one floor below him in his own freakin’ building with the express intent to harm his election opponent. And he lied and all of them lied about it again and again. And Trump claimed without any evidence whatsoever that the election was "rigged’ if he were to lose and all but incited his supporters to rebel with violence if he was declared the loser.
Once again, the media is to blame for both-sidesifiying the argument to maintain the drama. I think they want Trump to survive to 2020 for a big show election for higher ratings. The plain fact is that Trump is a career criminal, the incompetent bozo head of a white-collar crime family in complete control of Putin because they know he’s exactly what I just called him and have the proof at their fingertips.
Nadler takes the grown up position. He is looking pretty good by the way. He has done a great job keeping the weight off.
The problem I have with his comments here, is it excludes all other impeachable offenses Trump has committed beyond his criminal workings with the Kremlin. And that list of impeachable offenses is long and continues to grow.
Keep in mind, republicans had no problem in going after Bill Clinton for something that didn’t even approach things like…giving up intelligence to Russia, numerous emoluments violations, numerous very clear acts of obstruction.
We are well beyond collusion at this point. I mean, just consider…his closest advisers from the 2016 campaign are in jail now…why are we going back to the “lone wolf” theories that Trump was totally unaware of everything they did? Because that’s the only theory you can go with if you don’t believe Trump should be impeached.
People elected you to get things done. Just wait for Mueller’s report and bash the GOP Cocksuckers in the head with the Whiner in the White House in the meantime.
I’m old enough to remember how much of a fight the Nixon Whores put up in front of the Impeachment committee before the Smoking Gun tape came out. Wiggins, who was probably Nixon’;s biggest backer and who fought like a bad guy rassler with a chair, had to choke back tears when he got the bad news. I loved it 40+ years ago and I love it today.
