At this point we don’t know if this was a firing, or a resignation. A firing would support the headline, I am not sure a resignation would.
Bottom line… the Failing NY Times steps in to protect Trump yet again. iDJiTs
This is Chapter 4 in The Autocrat’s Handbook. We continue to walk toward the edge of total chaos.
ALSO a very convenient and shiny distraction from the Kavanaugh klusterfuck.
People should be paying more attention to Nadler. In a Democratic held House, he’ll chair the Judiciary Committee, the committee which would take impeachment into consideration.
I wonder who Leonard Leo will tell Don McGann to hire in that spot.
It gets worser and worser: Rosenstein out, Cav in.
It is far more likely that Trump will be re-selected by the Electoral College in 2020 than it is that he will be impeached by a House lead by Nancy Pelosi.
And what is the path to 2/3 majority vote in the Senate to convict him?
Since it looks as if the guy earmarked to give The Dumpster a pass will not be on the SC they got to go with plan “B” or is it now “Q” in order to shut down the investigations. However, at this point those investigations have a life of their own. All any action is going to do is give the Dems a couple of more points with House races come November. It will also add to the remote chances of a leadership change in the Senate as well.
There it is. More No, we can’t.
Oh, please. Trump’s not even going to serve out this term. My money is on resignation after a guarantee of a pardon by Q-tip
Oh, please. What evidence do you have that Trump would ever resign?
Personally, I think he finishes his term and does not run again or loses in the Republican primary, but I don’t see him voluntarily leaving office before his term is up.
Nadler noted this started with Firing Comey…
Actually it started when he fired Yates.
Multiple bankruptcies and divorces. Every one of those is a quit and run away move.
Oo you’re right and I keep forgetting about that myself.
You should read “Fear” if you have not yet. Trump’s bankruptcies and multiple marriages are not quit and runaway moves; they were just ways of moving on to something better (in his mind). And it did not matter who was hurt by them.
I would be shocked if he gave up the Presidency voluntarily.
So what is to stop him from quitting and moving on to something better than the White House? derp
They should also be paying attention just because Nadler is, quite simply, one of the best we’ve got. Or ever had.
Someone needs to tell Spanky to put up or shut up on firing people. His record on appointment turnover is incredibly bad, especially for a guy who promised us “only the very best people!” The person needing a firing here is Spanky.
The path to impeachment is through a path that educates American voters on all sides about the truth of how bad Spanky is and the criminal depths he has visited to screw up sane public policies in favor of short term gains by his wealthy gang.
It took over two years for the truth to penetrate my mother-in-law’s senses of right before she realized Nixon had to go. When gop loses Hoosier women, Spanky will go.
