Should have started with the list of successes.
Wouldnât take so long.
Hey Katy RigaâŚI protest your use of âdiatribe.â
Rep Nadler was just stating the facts.
Expecting Clint Eastwood references.
However, Rep. Nadler was not rambling and incoherent.
Whatever else Nadler may have said, he also said this:
Nadler added that he would move quickly to hold Barr in contempt if he refused to negotiate in âgood faith.â
He should sit down for a short talk with Sen. Hirono.
Many of the commenters I respect here on TPM and on Political Animal endorse Leader Pelosiâs âcalm, deliberate approachâ. However, so far it doesnât seem to be working out too well. Things are taking on a a decided âLions 10, Christians 0â feelâŚ
Nadler added that he would move quickly to hold Barr in contempt if he refused to negotiate in âgood faith.â
Barr has already played that card. What else does he have to do to prove his lack of âgood faith?â
You can get a bucket of KFC at 9am?
D.C. is truly a magical town.
He was just being âsaltyâ.
ETA. Polemicize isnât used nearly enough.
Relax. The calm, measured approach is giving Trump all the rope he needs to hang himself.
By the time impeachment hearings start, it will be almost nothing to do with the âold newsâ of 2016, and everything to do with what is going on today in 2019.
Voters will respond better to the immediate threats than something in the rear-view mirror.
"not checking âthe Presidentâs worst instinctsâ "
Congressman, Barr was hired to support the Presidentâs worst instincts.
Nadler added that he would move quickly to hold Barr in contempt if he refused to negotiate in âgood faith.â
Thereâs the Jerry we all know. Barr acts in bad faith, and doesnât show up, and Nadler makes a mean face, stamps his feet, and says ânext time, he better be nicer!.. or else IâllâŚâ
Boy did that guy ever help Mitt get elected!
Oh to be a fly on the wall backstage at that convention while that was going on. âWhat the hell is he doing? Is this good? Maybe the kids will get it! They love westerns right?â
I think Nancy is playing a not dramatically obvious game of rope-a-dope.
I just wrote this on another thread but I think it bears writing here as well: I called my representative and both senators this morning. I told them that the 2018 victory would be very short-lived if the Democrats did not do something bold - and soon. That the notion of impeaching based on âpollsâ was not a good look. That we are despairing out here and need a sign that they are willing to fight back, regardless of the outcome. I really hope more people do this. Please spare me the snark if you think this is naive, idealistic, a waste of time or whatever. I waited and reached human staffers for all three offices.
The perfect coup de theatre would have been to have a staffer open a side door, escort Mr. Mueller to the chair set up for the AG. Then, having been seated, have Mr. Mueller pull out a thumb drive stating âI think youâll find the document on here of interest.â
One near the Pentagon opens at 6am and gets a lot of pre-work business.
Fried Chicken for breakfast sounds deliciously unhealthy.
