Of course it was a waste of time. Number of people who are surprised at this: ZERO!!!

Well of course the idea is if they’re investigating, there must be something to investigate. Me, if I were one of those GOP pukes, I’d soberly reflect on the possibility that this could come back to bite me.

Think you probably hit the nail on the head.

Comey agreed to testify on Friday at House Republicans request under the pretense that a full transcript of the testimony be released afterwards.

Wow. So the way to get Comey to comply is to pretend that you’re gonna do what he wants. Good thing he never did anything important like run a major criminal investigation / law enforcement agency…

I know, right? Also, too, those GOP morons in Wisconsin and Michigan who are neutering the governorships… Do they think that theres never going to be GOP governors again? Are they assuming that they will always be able to get a unified majority again to undo this damage when they have another Republican governor? Super anti-democratic but also shortsighted!

Let’s see if the committee lives up to the bargain of issuing a transcript forthwith.

But will it? Depending where they are, they have deep red bulletproof armor and dgif what anyone thinks but their base.

I still have not had the one question that’s been bugging me answered; why do they think they can get away with all of this?

Ooh, let me hold my breath while we find out!

In reality, its just the House GOP desperately trying to hold on to some kind of relevance.

Apparently, Comey didn’t give them much to work with. Good for him.

Well, they myopically passed the initiatives granting the powers to the governors in the first place, seemingly assuming their guy would hold power in perpetuity, so it’s par for the course.

Outside of gullible and stupid watchers of Fox “News”, no one will care about, much less even remember, today’s Trump GOP House Comey dog and pony show.

Issa is leaving office in 4 weeks. He can go fu—-k himself.

Nobody will care. They’re doing this because this kind of crap was the only thing they ever knew how to do. I guess futility is not the mother of invention.

Good point. I’m starting to get the feeling that these people aren’t really the sharpest tools in the shed. Which is kind of a departure for a party that has always had a reputation as the ‘very serious people’ or the ‘grownups in the room.’

Very strange times indeed…

Possibly so, but Mueller will not be discredited. If the GOP wants to continue to waste money on useless investigations, as they have since 2010 at least, then by all means, continue to do so.

The GOP’s time in the barrel is coming with the advent of the GOP House. Will be a whole lot of fun to see the tables turned.
