Ahhh, the old Scooby Doo villain defense. “And we would have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for those meddling kids in the media!”. Old classics never die, do they?
The solution to who can use a restroom is so simple as to be obvious. The people who elect these tiny creeps to take away their rights have me stymied.
The governor was also asked whether the new law would impact a fair
housing ordinance in Greensboro and another policy regarding municipal
contracts in Raleigh. He said he did not know, according to the Charlotte Observer.
"You’re blindsiding me with a question,” McCrory said.
Heck of a job there governor. You face planted yourself in a pile of shit when someone dared ask you a follow up question.
Hmmm… Maybe this mythical follow up question will catch on for the rest of the media?
No, I didn’t think so either.
If it weren’t for those pesky reporters, McCrory would have gotten away with it. Damn those media bastards for telling the truth!
The Party of Personal Responsibility at its finest.
But I wasn’t told! I was an unpaid staffers fault. Those damn interns! It was the medias fault for asking me gotcha questions. Under Hillary everyone will be forced to gay marry! Man on dog! Man on dog! BENGHAZI!!!
The claim that people of the “wrong” sex might use the wrong bathroom dates back to the Equal Rights Amendment arguments. It hasn’t been used in years. Time to bring it out of mothballs! And what a surprise, it is the same group of people using it.
Too weird: In a story about North Carolina’s governor whining about the media’s “unfair” coverage of the state’s discriminatory law, before first watching the related video clip of the governor, viewers are treated to a commercial for the North Carolina Symphony’s upcoming concert, “Five for Fighting.”
Man, how fucked up is it that the North Carolina GOP is getting their moral guidance from Corporations and Businesses?
Has the CDC identified the virus with which all GOP entities are afflicted? Have they identified how it is spread? All of them lie, incessantly, about everything.
They are not sure (spox) how this law will effect other laws, ordinances, protections, etc? What fools! Do you think for a minute that they don’t know this new law will ADVERSELY effect the citizens of NC? What fools!
I think the first one is but not quite sure of the second! Bawahahaha!
McCrory is a huge sellout…he was Mister Middle of the Road as Mayor of Charlotte…He sold his
soul to the moneyed interests in North carolina;s Tea Party…basically he is in way over his head…
and is not smart enough,
These guys really don’t think this shit through before they act, do they?
“Every city and every corporation has the exact same discrimination policy this week as they had two weeks ago,” he said in the press conference.
Right. All they’ve lost is the right to have anti-discrimination laws enforced. Or, to put a bit more spin on it, this bill was actually all about adding new rights: the right of employers and business owners to ignore your complaints.
McCrory is a DEGENERATE.
A special session of the legislature was called so this injurious, discriminatory bill could be rushed through the chamber and signed before anyone could act, yet the governor claims that “There’s a very well-coordinated campaign” against it? It took every ounce of coordination to blindside the people of NC, and now he’s hearing from them! What a nasty little would-be emperor!
Let’s cut Pat some slack. It’s difficult to sound honest when you’ve got Art Pope’s hand up your ass.
My father used to tell me to never trust a Republican politician. “They are never for the poor man. They are never for the working man. They will always enslave you. And they’ll always lie about it.” He was right on all accounts.
N.C Gov: That darn “Media”, telling people things and letting them know what we did. Why, it’s just like COMMUNISM that’s what it is!
Media: Suck it asshole.
Introspection is not big with republican governors, nay all republiscum!
I called this one in another blog! He’d sign it and blame everyone else! He’d say (IIRC my own words)
1.) they misunderstand the law
2.) it will have virtually no effect (so why enact it?)
3.) let’s take a (long) wait and see approach: I’ll make changes to it as I see fit.
4.) it’s all the media’s fault (that had been my #1 in another blog)
5.) nobody told me anyone opposed this bill (LIAR!).
6). no corporations will cease doing business here and once again the press is blowing this nothingbuger up.
