Discussion: 'My Dad's Not A Racist': New Ivanka, Kushner Book Details Couple's Rise To Power

“My dad’s not a racist,” she reportedly told Cohn, “He didn’t mean any of it. … That’s not what he said.”

[Behind the Music narrator voice] He is. He did. It was.

The new book by Vicky Ward … called “Kushner Inc.” not only details the couple’s accent, but also their role as “chief enablers” to President Trump.

Not to pick nits (but I’m bored this morning),

“accent” or “ascent”?

Ivanka’s assertion that, “My dad’s not a racist,” in the wake of his press conference comments after Charlottesville is laughable on its face.

It’s those unscripted Q-and-A’s where Trump gets irate enough to say exactly what he means. Donnie kept focusing on the Friday night marchers (the ones dressed as Trump, carrying tiki torches and chanting, “Jews will not replace us!”) as the group that deserved credit for having ‘good people’.

It was one of the rare moments when he spoke with complete honesty and sincerity.

Or perhaps he refers to that fake, breathy litte-girl voice?

I thought it was Melania who had the accent.

The spell check fail is what got to you, that’s your big takeaway.

Spell check is fine with “accent” in the sentence. I rely on spell check a quite a bit, but still need to human check sometimes.

Auto-correct is what really pisses me off. I’m tired of its shirt.

What Cohn is talking about is an alternate reality in which the person hearing the Trump lie

  • has to abide by it because of a power differential

  • has to abide by it for political reasons

  • has to abide by it because the lie aligns with their own

and many many other vehicles for Trump Enabling

“Gary Cohn sought out advice from Trump’s daughter and son-in-law”.

What an idiot.

As opposed to what? The shocking revelation that Ivanka and Kushner are shameless Trump apologists and enablers?

Also, it should be “details not only.”

Honest to God…it morphs from ‘he is not a racist’ to ‘that’s not what he said’ when those pesky tapes are RIGHT THERE. If you want to make that argument kids then at least use the ‘that’s not what he MEANT’ phrase as if he was just unable to form a coherent sentence but…C’mon. No Trump child has tried to stand up to dear old Dad in a very long while.

I’m still waiting for daddy Trump to form and speak an unscripted coherent sentence.

“My dad’s not a racist,” Of course Trump is not a racist- he loves, loves loves Israel. He’s not too sure about all those Jews in it BUT he does love Israel.

Just like the Evangelicals with their crazy “rapture” beliefs, Trump wants the Jews to be in Israel but in his case for different reasons.

He should have asked for advice on where he could secure a $1billion loan with no collateral worth mentioning
