Well, duh. Now call out your leader, Traitor Turtle. Heās the one keeping the government shut down. If he moves a bill forward MF1 is irrelevant.
So do something!
āMurkowski: āShutting Down The Government Is Not Governingā.ā
Pardon me for asking the obvious, Sen. Oblivious, but when have Republicans ever governedā¦?
t-minus until Mitch (again) says something about these rumblings
Maybe her constituents will realize that these are words, not actions, and vote for someone who can do something.
Would you, if you were that bad at it? Iām not that much of a glutton for mockery, I can tell you.
Threaten to caucus with the Dems, then, if McConnell doesnāt allow a vote to proceed. Iām sick and tired of these Republican Flakes softly ācondemningā this nonsense and utterly failing to to put any action behind their meaningless rhetoric. Cowards.
So many on the right automatically assume that we want nothing to do with border security and immigration reform. Thatās not true. We have been begging the GOP to help with immigration reform for more than a decade, but theyāre th ones who kept dragging their heels.
Wanting border security and immigration reform is not the same as shutting everything down for a bullshit wall. Murkowshi is the only one who is calling BS on the President. Whereās Graham? Whereās McConnell? Whereās Cruzās backbone? (did you see how forlorn he looked at the border with Trump? Even the shitty nanny-goat facial hair canāt hide his disappointment)
I like the part where she carefully left open who was at fault because sheās actually just a coward.
Murkowski: āIād like to, but my boss has advised me to just keep up appearances.ā
Watch out, Lisa, Donnie is just waiting for the title insurance policy before he sells Alaska back to Russiaā¦
Hereās what you do about it, Lisa. Go put pressure on Mitch McConnell.
Action, not Words.
A penetrating glimpse of the obvious, Senator.
Iām sure all Alaskans not getting paid or receiving benefits / services feel so much better now.
He did look downcast. Maybe Betoās having put a scare in him like that made him realize if you arenāt strong in your own damn state (Oh hi Rick S.) youāre pretty unlikely to become a president.
He looks pathetic with that facial hair. Heās not fooling anybody - we still know itās Ted Cruz in there. And heās trying to hold a line that is deeply unpopular in Texas. Deeply.
I think there was a Republican guy back in the 1860ās who governed fairly well. More to the point tho, the modern GOP doesnāt govern because that would be an admission that government works, and because of the shit that happened between that guy from the 1860ās and now (particularly about 100 years later in 1964), todayās GOP is still fighting the war for the people WHO WERE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF IT back then. They want noting more than wholesale destruction of the federal government, so they deliberately break govāt to āproveā itās broken. Itās like hiring a convicted animal abuser as your veterinarian or a registered pedophile sex offender as a babysitter. Yes, of course the country is being rapedā¦what else was to be expected when they showed up at the front door with dildos, lube and candy?
It is at that. Shutting down the government is quite literally not governing. Itās not governing by definition. But the sheer accuracy of the obviousness puts her at odds with her party. Interesting times.
āI regret that I have but one sternly-worded sentence to give for my countryā
