So… that’s Collins AND Murkowski.
It seems they have reservations, as they should.
It is nice to see this become the minimum, good for Murkowski to say it. The McConnell/Coryn line that staff should just interview them was not reasonable.
But the real question is not if you put Kavanaugh under oath, they guy ought to take a polygraph. Get the FBI to require it. And also put his little drinking buddy Jude under oath, and under a polygraph…
And tonight’s winner in the “Leading by Following” category is…
I’m not sure that the Senate is the right place for what could amount to a criminal trial. On the other hand, if Clarence Thomas had been required to testify under oath, I wonder if he would have made it to the Supreme Court–or still be on it.
Had Joe “I’m a normal guy” Biden allowed the witnesses who were arranged to corroborate Anita Hill’s testimony, Thomas would not be on the Court. But he refused to allow them to testily. I will never abide “blow-dryer” Joe, who was more interesting in looking good and moderate on camera than getting to the bottom of what really happened.
Flake is also derailing the Kavanaugh Express. For once, could this not just be for show, and actually your conscience helping to form a spine?
“…seems they may have reservations…”
OR…they’re just going through the perfunctory motions as a demonstration to their constituents.
Or is this just another “…journey to The Twilight Zone”??
I don’t think the accuser is going to be bothered by testifying under oath. She’s already taken a lie detector test and passed it.
…and looking to cut a deal for some more bacon to bring home to their respective bases…
Good response!
Biden prevented 3 other women from testifying. He betrayed Anita Hill and is responsible for the Supreme Court having an unqualified judge all these years. All Anita Hill wanted was to prevent that. She revealed her reservations about Thomas to colleagues and then was subpoenaed to testify. She didn’t volunteer.
Good luck to Biden trying for a presidential bid. Many women don’t forget and the younger generation of women will not forgive.
I think we need to see Mark Judge called to testify under oath also. His NOT testifying speaks volumes (to me) about his recollection of the event.
A judge who is suspected of perjury about receiving stolen emails would never sink so low as lying about something like this. On the other hand, it will be nice to have it on record for when other evidence inevitably comes to light.
The twitterverse has some videos with teenage girls that apparently he’s involved in making and distributing. Not sure how often he and K are together these days but might be something to check out.
