I wonder if this motion was filed by Monique Pressley? And if that’s the case is this a prelude to how she will defend her client(s) in the court room.
Mental illness
Something I’m pretty sure she’s considered is the fact she may give testimony that might prove she was well aware of Mr. Cosby’s sexual exploitations all along – and did things (from a business standpoint) to shield her/him/them. Should any testimony of the sort come to light, would she then expose herself to suit?

The Constitution protects you from having to testify against yourself, whether by deposition or in court. All she has to do is invoke that protection. Civil lawsuits are not the same as criminal trials, but I’m sure the Constitution doesn’t make that distinction. All the state would have to do is sign an agreement that she will not be tried for anything she says in the deposition, then her right to be silent no longer exists. (I practice law as a hobby.)

Makes sense to me. I’d like to see these ladies have at least a moral victory, regardless of monetary divvies. Disgusting and sad from so many angles, this ugly story.
Let me ask, though, can she be compelled to testify–even without guaranteed protection–since she was Mr. Cosby’s general manager for all those years? – Regardless of their legal marriage? I understand the Constitution does not make a distinction, but that seems to me to allow some to literally take advantage of the marriage/spousal rights set forth in the Constitution. Do any states, the feds address this at all?
I had to read the headline a couple times to finally understand that the person sitting next to Cosby was NOT Damon Wayons.

As this continues building I’m expecting the Ronald Reagan Iran-Contra defense. Reagan couldn’t recall anything that was deleterious to his testimony but could remember all sorts of things that made him look good.

This discussion board seems to be highly censored, I for one know my comment from Sunday has disappeared, and I find it very hard to believe only 13 people have had something to say about this.
Anyhow, yesterday I stated that it would not surprise me to learn than Cosby and wife have for years been hiding money offshore where US laws can not reach knowing that someday a reckoning will come. I also stated yesterday that it would not surprise me if both disappear only to reappear in a country that does not take rape seriously much like Roman Pulaski (underage, drugs, Hollywood, same timeframe… a pattern here).
In every single picture I’ve seen of her, she is grinning ear-to-ear. Is he giving her those same pills to keep her happy?
