In Newtown, in CO, in CA… Haven’t we seen enough of this? Enough death from hate filled people gleefully supplied with weapons of mass murder by the GOP and NRA. Enough families torn about by apathy and our gutless elected officials.

Reading these texts makes me weep. I’m the mother of two young adult sons and, while mine don’t live in the same part of the country as I do, there is always that bond that allows them to reach out in times of both distress and celebration. May this Mom eventually take some comfort from the fact that, although she couldn’t rescue him, he knew she was there and would move mountains on his behalf.
