Discussion for article #233496
Billo Breaking Bad---------------as usual.
O’Reilly acts like a character from the WWF.
I’m amazed anyone supports him.
And do it LIVE!!!
What one-percenter fascist wouldn’t want a reporter who exposed Romney’s utter contempt for working people to be in the “kill zone”?
Yet no refutation of the Mother Jones article itself.
TopCat - you just made my day!
With that, O’Reilly announced his latest work, “Killing David Corn.”
His job is about to be in the Kill Zone if this story about his fibbing sticks.
Nah. He’ll get a raise.
Geraldo Rivera once told viewers that he had said the Lord’s Prayer over that “hallowed ground,” where “the friendly fire took so many of our, our men and the mujahedeen yesterday” during the Afghan war when he was searching for Al Capone’s real vault. Which of course didn’t happen
Noticed that did you? Because it seems to be eluding the MSM generally.
I find it perplexing how they all came down on Williams like a ton of bricks but seem to be tiptoeing around O’Reilly, given that O’Reilly’s fabrications are far worse. Williams was actually in a war zone, actually flew with combat troops and apparently somehow got it into his head that something that happened to another chopper in a flight he was on happened to his–which most combat vets will tell you is not an uncommon occurrence. O’Reilly, however, appears to have lied multiple times about even having been in a war zone.
So, of course, the guy who collapsed in a fit of apology and contrition and retired to a monestary over having told a comparatively minor lie gets savaged, suspended and may well be fired, whereas the guy who blusters and spews invective and threats who told giant willful whoppers will either get rallied around or at least get the benefit of silence.
Actually, the WWF long ago changed their name to WWE - World Wrestling Entertainment, to reflect that what they do is not actually a “sport.” So, in this sense, Billo is to journalism what the WWE is to athletic competition.
“The editors asked O’Reilly to retract his remark either on air during his show “The O’Reilly Factor” on Friday night, or in a separate statement.”
Fat chance of that.
What is it about liberals that compels them to demand apologies instead of denouncing what was said? If O’Reilly doesn’t apologize, Mother Jones appears weak.
They did denounce “what was said” by Bill-O and demanded an apology for it. What’s the problem?
Nope, Fox will protect him (as usual). Remember when O"Reilly kept talking about his boycott of French wine, and cited a fictional French business magazine (Paris Business Review) as proof the boycott was working? He’s a turd of the first order.
Or “Popping Corn.”
No way, he will get a bonus, and every year that he wasn’t found out will add to it. Remember, he is on FOX, where lies are celebrated.
Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingram and their ilk do NOT feel the need to apologize for they are convinced that the Lord, the Constitutuion (that came from the Lord) and The Koch brothers have endowned them with their unalienable right to spout this shit out and BE DAMNED RIGHT ABOUT IT TOO!
