Any Republican that refuses to be on record that Mueller is off limits for firing needs to be removed from office.
We can’t ever forget these guys complicity in this.
Predictive image of the next GOP convention - if they don’t wake up. No signs of really listening to the wake up alarms, to date.
Ummmm, no. These are Republicans you’re talking about, they don’t want brains. They want nothing to do with brains. They are afraid of brains.
You sons of bitches swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. You swore a god-damned oath to do that.
Let that be the least of your worries. ![]()
Oath, shmoath. McCain’s Li’l Groupie has read the polls of South Carolina primary voters … or maybe Trump offered to make him attorney general.
Maybe there are more people on that pee tape than were previously reported…
More profiles in covfefe.
“I don’t feel an urgent need to pass that law until you show me that Mr. Mueller is in jeopardy,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
Let me see if I can help you, Lindsey…
- Mueller is the Special Counsel investigating the Trump campaign and its connections with and possible collusion/cooperation with the Russian’s efforts to interfere in the U.S. elections in 2016 to benefit Donald J. Trump so he would become President. He is also authorized to investigate possible criminality, the evidence of which arises from the primary investigation.
- Donald J. Trump is the President of the U.S.
- Mueller’s investigation is producing indictments, guilty pleas, and continues to move forward aggressively toward Trump and his family.
- Trump fired Comey because he was moving forward with the investigation.
- Trump is on record saying, “We’ll see about Mueller.”
JFC, will Republicans ever do something for the good of the country rather than for the good of their party and their oligarch masters? Do the approval polls have to go to single digits in your state and district before you do the right and decent thing? I know…rhetorical questions.
Mueller is not getting fired. He’d have to fire Rosenstein and then find an AG willing to do it and have him confirmed by the Senate.
Oh, I understand the dilemma. Stand up for rule of law, maybe lose some support. It’s a pretty tough choice if you’re a cynical, gutless traitor. Thirty pieces of silver is an awful lot of silver.
Shorter Graham: Trump is very popular in SC and I don’t want to be primaried again. I am looking forward to playing Golf with him and Putin.

Adjusted for 2017 USD, that’s a shitload of dinarii.
“I don’t feel an urgent need to pass that law until you show me that Mr. Mueller is in jeopardy,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a cosponsor of the Special Counsel Independence Protection Act. “Anybody in his right mind at the White House wouldn’t think about replacing him.”
This really beggars comment, but I can’t resist: 1. By then it will be too late; 2. True, but off-point for obvious reasons.
Right now, Chris Hayes is interviewing Carter Page to get his take on today’s indictments. This is crazed. He’d have more insight interviewing a paranoid schizophrenic regaling us with an account of the giant Tasmanian wombat named Bruce that has has been giving him lessons in French while threatening to eat him.
They probably don’t want Trump to fire Mueller, think it would be a really bad idea for Trump and the party, but aren’t at all sure he won’t do it anyway, no matter what anyone thinks about that. Despite that, they don’t dare say that there will be consequences for Trump if he goes ahead, that there is some red line he can’t cross, because they don’t want to put themselves in the position of having to impose consequences if Trump crosses that line.
No, these guys are probably not getting a chapter in any future revision of Profiles in Courage. Not that that puts them too much below what is expected these days of Senators and Congresscritters, but it is some sort of milestone, hopefully a low water mark that will stand for centuries as the record uselessness benchmark for US Senators.
"What’s all this I hear about a FISA Warrant being hacked?
What’s all this I hear about Dodgy Dossiers?
…Never mind…"
Carter Page joined a Foreign Policy Advisory Team formed by Dixiecrat Jeff Sessions, a known liar. Their foreign policy appears to have been get Russia’s help to make sure Trump and not HRC got elected.
