Discussion: Morgan Freeman Apologizes To Anyone Who Felt 'Disrespected' By His Behavior

Morgan sure does admire a well figured female. I do too, but turn my head quickly away when I see one so as not to offend.

When you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything.

Maybe that shit is changing?

Behavior of this sort in 1967? Not good.

In 2017? No way.

Well, I met someone who interviewed him, and she said he was difficult at first, just making cracks and not giving useful answers to her questions and finally she had to ask him to get serious or it wasn’t going to happen and he settled down. Which isn’t harassment but is kind of being a jerk. Brilliant actors are not always equally perfect at being people.

Additionally, Trump still on the loose… when will he be held accountable?

She gave him a little spank.

What is it with the alleged perps apologizing for the feelings of the women who allege harassment against them? Such non-apology apologies put the women in the wrong for their feelings. In no way is that an apology.

Comedians and actors are pretty notorious for being hard to interview. I think it comes down to comedy (or acting) being partly a defense mechanism. Much of the point of an interview is getting behind the curtain of the role (be it a theatrical role or an improv role as class clown) to the person behind the role.

Does never work for you? It works for him. Maybe Summer Zervos can get a date to hold him accountable, but I’m not holding my breath.

As do I. And I’ve been known to stare from time to time. But I’ve never lifted a skirt of a coworker in a work setting. I have mentioned a certain lady was ripe. “Mad ripe” were my exact words. That certain lady has been my better half for 26 ripe years.

What, nobody going to stand up for Morgan like they did for Franken? :anguished:

I think the problem is that they get interviewed so many times it becomes a form of drudgery. How many times can you be witty, attentive and share an insight that no one has ever heard before? 87? 114?

There’s a time and a place. Unless you just walked up to her in a supermarket and she like liked you back instantly.

I’m sure, but it’s part of the gig. And this woman was sharp and interesting, I saw some of her work and it was good. I’m sure she took it past the usual and didn’t start up with that how did you prepare for role X stuff.

Nothing new. Nothing to see here. Same old apologetic crap from these old codgers, these harassers.

It is a matter of degree, I suppose. Harvey Weinstein is to be arrested in NY for rape tomorrow. At least Eric Schnidermann will not be announcing the indictment. Creep.

So tired of the sorry-if-I-offended-anyone non-apology apology. He knew what he was doing! I don’t want MF drummed out of Hollywood, but I want enough of these men to get the idea that they should have a second thought before doing this shit.

How many times to the workers at theaters have to deal with rude movie goers, clean up messes left behind…in the theaters and the bathrooms?

Its part of the job. If they don’t like it, they can take tickets and serve up popcorn instead, and still say they are in the entertainment business.
