Discussion: More Women Accuse Franken Of Groping. Senator Responds: 'I Feel Terribly'

Hah. Ogling now reported as a crime.

Where are we going, America?

If you won’t give your name, you don’t get any credibility. I still think he is being set up.

“I feel terribly” oddly phrased header.

Where are we going, TPM?

Did these anonomous women claim that Frank “assaulted” them? This “Me Too” movement has now officially jumped the shark. When everything has become an assault, then nothing is an assault. At least, he is not allowing himself to be run out of the Senate.

It’s actually a quote, and indeed a better choice of words might have been in order.

So are all going to start doing research on these women so we can smear them? Say we have to support Franken because “we don’t need another conservative Republican in the Senate”? Considering the fact that he has fully admitted the first occurrence we learned about, there’s a little too much wagon circling going on here for me. Some of you are getting close to “women ought to know their place and shut up” territory.

I feel terribly THAT vs. I feel terribly just dinged my snark meter.

The saddest part of all this might be when the liberals try to run Franken out of the senate as Moore being sworn in

LeeAnn Tweeden is one of the people who lied about Shirley Sherrod and ran her out of her job. She’s running the same playbook here, and liberals are taking the same response. Don’t fall for it, people! Let’s wait to see all the photos, hear from the photographer, the other people in the room, and the army escort, before falling for the lies. Haven’t you ever accidentally touched someone when your arm dropped and they moved in a way you didn’t anticipate? What is the rush to throw him out before the investigation? Remember, this was started by someone who lies for a living.

People need to learn to not to put their hands on people. With that being said, when people try to equate Franken with Moore they have gone to far

He hasn’t fully admitted anything. He said he could see why that photograph would make LeeAnn feel bad. He certainly didn’t admit sticking his tongue in her mouth, which she is claiming. Remember that she knowingly lied about Shirley Sherrod when you decide whether to believe her now.

I’m hoping that’s not his defense!

That’s what I don’t like about liberals sometimes they are too quick to throw one of their own under the bus when something negative comes out about them. I just wish these people would go to the lab and create their own Frankenstein version of the perfect candidate that won’t ever disappoint them

Without judgement of anyone…

First, professional basketball players look down, not because they’re checking out their opponent’s asses, but because one’s center-of-gravity is there. Head fake, foot fake. You are where your belly button is.

Second, non-media people lack any sense of the camera, which is why Facebook is filled with bad pictures of Auntie Em and the clan standing ten feet apart, making Uncle Wilbur move ever farther back until everyone’s face is half the size of a pixel.

A memorable picture is full of the facial expressions of the subjects. Get in close. It’s why tv studios are much smaller than they appear. Get in nice and tight. And in politics, do it quickly.

Honestly, your ass isn’t that great.

Ha! Imho, it had better be a femail candidate because all of these stories surfacing about men mishandling women make me think of my own experiences as a (much younger) woman and Mark Twain’s assessment of men:

By temperament, which is the real law of God, many men are goats and can’t help committing adultery when they get a chance; whereas there are numbers of men who, by temperament, can keep their purity and let an opportunity go by if the woman lacks in attractiveness. - Letters from the Earth

Or as my late grandma used to say, “They’re all alike.”

Where are we going? Just grab a stone, throw it at someone, and jump to where ever it lands. This is now a stone-throwing free-for-all, aka American politics.

The closest we ever had to a “perfect” candidate was Barack Obama, and “progressives” found plenty of reason to throw him under the bus as well.

Anonymous claims—at this point in our national auto-da-fe----are garbage and unworthy of reportage.

Everything about this screams “set-up.”

He explicitly, if politely, denied her “aggressive kiss” allegation, and there is a picture of the kiss which does not support her description. Moreover, the USO has an official video of that USO tour, and I can assure you that Leeann T is not offended by public displays of sex play in which she participates. Could she really have been offended by a gag picture of Al Franken pretending (not actually) to cup her breasts? This gag picture happened after she initiated a mutual exchange of ass grabbing on stage with a (very) surprised guitarist after she - uninvited - sauntered across the stage, turned around, bent over, and rubbed her ass (and other parts of her anatomy) along his leg? Only liberals abandon their great champions; that’s why Hillary walks in the woods while Trump strides across the world stage.
