Discussion: More Than 12 Million Enroll In Obamacare Plans As GOP Debates Its Replacement

I’d take that as 24 million “anti-GOP” votes in 2018…

Yeah, such a death spiral.

Well, one can dream. Unfortunately, however, that may be all it is.

On the other hand, the fact that Drumpfie and Cabal are considering letting states set work requirements for Medicaid recipents, change eligibility and consider co-pays for emergency room visits, will certainly get a lot of people up in arms, especially when the cuts start rolling in. The question is, when?

“A devastating analysis from the Congressional Budget Office on the House GOP bill to repeal Obamacare has rattled moderate Republicans in the House, who are uneasy about the prospects of voting for a proposal that increasingly appears dead on arrival in the Senate.”

Wow, then it will really, really, really suck to live in a Red state

Question is, what will it take to get those folks to lean blue? Maybe after a few relatives die, or they have trouble finding a job because of their disabilities and their Medicaid is cut??

New—and very credible—poll says America rejects the GOP bill:

Not sure, I think a lot of it still has to do with red state folks resenting having a black president foisted on them, only to potentially be followed by a woman president.

Deeply embedded bias is the hardest thing we need to overcome to get things back on a progressive track, as opposed to the recessive NASCAR track we seem to be on now.

So true.

I love any story that begins with “nervous GOP Senators.” It has a calming effect on me.

A day after a harsh judgment by the Congressional Budget Office on the House plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act, nervous Senate Republicans on Tuesday suggested changes to the bill.

Especially seeing as how such a large percentage are new. They’re betting on having coverage to fight to keep.

Kaiser is the gold standard in anything related to health care. The bill is toast. Won’t even pass the House and is DOA in the Senate. And it can’t be fixed because anything they do to attract the right loses the center and vice versa.

Obamacare is not in a death spiral despite what the orange haired clown with the stupid look on his face and his cronies say. “but it has definitely deteriorated since the Trump administration and the new GOP Congress assumed power. And no wonder: They sabotaged it.”

Many people on Medicaid have disabilities that preclude them from working…how does one square that circle?

Obamacare works great in the states that support it. My son works for the NY exchange and they are deluged with people signing up and even rural areas have several plans. Increases have been modest; health care costs always increase-that’s true even in countries with single payer.

Most Medicaid spending is for pre-natal care and childbirth, people with disabilities, or people in long-term care facilities.

This is just another example of hateful Republicans working hard to punish the poor for being poor—which the GOP considers a “choice” made by the poor.

We have something called Covered California, and we’re told the millions of enrollees would face life or death consequences if congress messed with it. The state embraced it and it works.

And all those Medicaid leeches in nursing homes. Put them to work feeding other patients. And emptying bed pans and changing adult diapers.

Bravo, you beat me to it. Next up, GOP states black is white, up is down, water not wet.
