On a separate note, just in terms of optics and politics, I thought both segments were not particularly good. Much as I have respect for both Schumer and Pelosi, the response should have offered MUCH better messaging, delivery, and choreography. At the end of the day, despite the hoopla, I think none of it will have moved the dial.

Maybe The Chuck and Nancy Show got higher ratings because people are used to watching TWO people (or more) to tell them the news of the day, weather, and traffic reports. Thatās it. Not that no one wants to watch an old, fat, orange guy sniff his way through readily-discernable lies.

I would really like to hear an argument like
The president is demanding 5.7 billions dollars without making it clear what he wants it for, sometime is a wall, sometimes is a fence, sometimes āborder securityā. And he is making up for his lack of clarity by holding up the operation of the rest of the government that he heads. Lets re-open the government and have the president submit a detailed proposal to the house and we will consider it.
