Becuz Bundy figures that as media attention wanes his group does not want to share the remaining media fawning with another group.

I know these guys refer to themselves as “Patriots,” but must TPM give them that much credit in the article title? I don’t see much that is patriotic about these militia groups. They seem to be born of a rejection of the government.

Don’t sweat it. The word “patriot” just like the word “gay” , do no longer mean what it once did. A “patriot” is an gun-crazy, white supremacist individual that professes to be anti- federal goverment (on the giving side, they are more than willing to receive).
