Well, I’m sure Drumpf would be on board with these ideas too.

He’ a strict constitutionalist, except for the those perfectly constitutionally approved amendments that happen to give rights to anyone other that white, male, property owners.

Sure and truly would. If we could get the wimmins and the ni(Clang!)s under control, why there’s no tellin’ what we could get up to.

OK so people who’ve lived under authoritarian regimes tell you to watch for changes that start to seem normal and remember that they aren’t. So here’s a thing that’s new, even if it’s becoming familiar: 1) Politician says crazy thing. 2) Politician’s staff explains what they think he really meant, which is something much less crazy. Sound familiar? Because if it does, that’s authoritarianism settling in for a longer and longer stay.

It is too bad that Revelations like this will not hurt Moore’s candidacy. In fact such Revelations might help get him over the top in Alabama.

I get it. Calling Trump “Drumpf” tells us where you stand.

Except name calling is 5th grade stuff, substituting puerile garbage for real thinking.

Amending the Constitution is not easy. It was purposely made difficult so people like Trump and Moore couldn’t just change the law of the land because they thought it was a good idea in order to advance an authoritarian regime. And the courts - from which “judge” Roy was expelled twice - were given the power to interpret the Constitution and laws. Nobody knew that establishing a dictatorship could be so complicated, but they’re working on it.

If it weren’t for the 22nd amendment, we’d be enjoying President Obama’s third term, rather than this ridiculousness.

He’s right. The Eleventh and Twelfth Amendments were terrible. Let’s repeal them!

Amen! we’ll weather this kerfuffle and come out a lot better off having been reminded why American is already a pretty great place even though we tend to give to much credence to the handful of idiots that have just set their faces on fire. Shiny objects are just that.
