Discussion: Moore: Allegations Are ‘Dirty Politics,’ Sign Of The ‘Immorality Of Our Time’

I hope and pray to God that the poeple of Alabama do what’s right on Dec. 12th! Oh and there’s this.

Oh cynical irony. It definitely is a sign of the immorality of our time – just not in the way Moore suggests.

Also, Theocrat Rubmybelt has a record of flagrantly disregarding the constitution – so if by “defend” he means “shit all over,” then sure?

I’m pretty sure that attacking a reporter only makes him look even better to the dipshits of Alabama.

Roy Moore said the allegations of sexual misconduct against him hurt him personally because they’re just “dirty politics” and a “sign of the immorality of our time.”

Interesting choice of words.

“No dirty tricks, no dirty tricks! You’re the dirty tricks!” screamed Moore as he dissolved into a puddle of radioactive waste, his pal O’Keefe having already done so.

He is bitter. He is angry. He is resentful. So far, so good. But to truly make the top tier of Southern Christian politics you also need to add the key ingredient: blame society for the consequences of your own actions.

Then again, if you believe that Roy Moore is going to Washington in order to promote God’s agenda, you will also believe that he doesn’t know any of these girls.

Well, he’s half right. It’s definitely a sign of our times that the GOP is considering electing a pedophile to the U.S. Senate.

Praise the Lard for those girls were sinners! Not me. Now let us all sing a few verses of our State Anthem: I’m Alabama Hound.

five centuries ago, this creep would have made a perfect cardinal of the Catholic church. Maybe even an Inquisitor.

Good point. He was probably counting on the PV vid to make his own denials more believable. And it would have, to a lot of people. Thankfully, WaPo caught the scam in time.

"…it’s a little odd” that in his 40 years of public service in Alabama, “never once has this been alleged.”

“I’m a fighter. I don’t hesitate to say that. I’ve been that way my whole life. My opponent will allow our Constitution to be totally undermined and disregarded."

It's a little odd that in Doug Jones' 37 years of public service he's never been accused of secretly harboring plans or a desire to undermine and disregard the Constitution. Citations please, Mr. Moore, we'd like citations.

After he’s already acknowledged knowing two of them, a fact which will go completely unnoticed by the “faithful” following him to the pits of hell.

I understand that this was the original, but rejected, text of Roy’s speech last night:

A younger girl
Keeps rollin’ ‘cross my mind.
And should I hang around,
Acting like her brother?
In a few more years,
They’d call us right for each other.
And why, If I wait I’ll just die, yeah.
A younger girl
Keeps rollin’ ‘cross my mind.
No matter how much I try,
I can’t seem to leave her memory behind.
I remember her eyes,
Soft dark and brown.
Said she’d never been in trouble,
Even in town
A younger girl
Keeps rollin’ 'cross my mind.

Sounds like he’s found a way to sneak into the Senate. That’s a good speech crafted to remove guilt for voting for him. It will lure a few fence sitters his way. Well done.

Don’t expect Jones to “take off the gloves” though. Hell no. He’s a Democrat. Don’t expect Moore’s accusers to take that ad as an invite to make some of their own…adamantly saying “yes you did and adding lying to you resume isn’t going to wipe away the pedophilia” . " I was a young girl…terrified…but I’m not a girl anymore and I’m no longer afraid…that’s why NOW as opposed to then". “tell me to may face Judge Moore. Meet me in a public forum and deny it to my face”…You get the drift. A great opportunity for the Democrats to fuck things up by the ABC’s then again by the numbers. Go Dems!!!

Personally, I’d like to see people stop referring to Moore as “the Judge.”
He was removed from the bench—twice—for failing to follow rulings of the Supreme Court.

So I’m beginning to wonder: perhaps he’s been having one long psychotic break with reality. Maybe all the young women he’s molested or tried to molest just blur together in his twisted mind, and (as so many other wingnut-raised types do for other reasons) he doesn’t think that anything short of a completed sexual act “counts”. That kind of clinical mental illness would disqualify him from office as well, but the kind of institution he should be confined in would be different.
