The Rs are OK dropping any pretense that dementia with behavioral disturbance should disqualify from public office. Supporting Trump remaining in the WH pretty much pushed them to that stand. Hey, if it works for Gianforte, they might start subjecting potential candidates to neuropsych testing, rejecting those that show the absence of disease for not having the right stuff.
Doesn’t he have immunity once he wins? Or, at least, they can’t keep him from attending sessions in Congress once he wins, until and unless the House expels him and thereby revokes his immunity.

I said after debate #3 that Clinton had decisively beaten Trump as the best choice for President, but our challenge would be his voters, because they might not care. We’re facing the same issue here with Gianforte. Montana has a clear choice. There are plenty of votes left to shift the outcome to Quist. But the Trumper movement is about removing all constraints on behavior so we can live like the Wild West. Their feelings are visceral and are about rage and a quest for dominating power. That’s why Trump sells in Red America.
