Discussion: Montana Abortion Bill Would Force Doctors To Try To Save Fetus Despite Risks

This is repugnant in so many ways, but instead of listing all those ways, I’ll ask a coldly economics question. Who pays for the forced surgery and the $100s of thousand of dollars in medical costs to keep the premature baby alive? Are you going to try to pin that on the mother as well?

Well this seems to hand in hand with the Texas law that forced a family of women who was brain dead to be placed on a ventilator for weeks until they determined if the fetus was viable. I still don’t know who picked up the costs for that.
