Is this the Republican’s coming home, or comrade Comey’s handiwork?
And yet her lead among independents has actually GROWN since Comey’s brainlessfart last Fri.
Clinton comes out ahead of Donald Trump among independents by four points, 39-35, in a head-to-head poll of the crucial voter demographic.
In a four-way ballot, Clinton still leads, 30-27, with Libertarian Gary Johnson following closely at 19 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 8 percent.
The former Secretary of State’s lead with independent voters grew since Bloomberg last released a nationwide poll, conducted before the final presidential debate and FBI Director James Comey announced the agency would review a new batch of emails.

Both. And here is where our mettle gets tested. Any Dem who is not out there working all-out to prevent a Trump presidency deserves everything they’re going to get, and it won’t be fun and games.
Trump apparently mistook a Honey Badger for a cat…
… because he’s running around, shaking his hand, and crying, “That pussy’s got teeth!”
The FBI effect…
Remember that at this very point of the 2012 election Obama was up in PA by 4-5ish (depending on which aggregator you look at). He won the Commonwealth by 5.4.
Hillary is mostly where Obama was four years ago today.
It’s a poll with a small sample using an opaque likely voter screen and a level of weighting that I would not be comfortable with with such a small sample.
It’s always suspect to attack the methodology of a poll that says things you don’t like, but, let’s face it, that’s the only time we care enough to look at the methodology. But the one thing among all the polls I have noted about this cycle that is truly remarkable, and as far as I can tell, unprecedented, is the absolute dearth of polls that report RV data in addition to LV data, much less polls that only have RV results.
Last time, as in the two prior elections, the RV data turned out to be more accurate than the LV data, both on an aggregate basis and for many specific polls. So, apparently, they way pollsters have decided to avoid the potentially embarrassing revelation that their Secret Sauce Likely Voter Filter makes things less, rather than more, accurate is to suppress the RV data altogether.
The Monmouth University poll surveyed 403 likely Pennsylvania voters via
live telephone interview from Oct. 29-Nov. 1, with a margin of error of
plus or minus 4.9 percent.
That’s a pretty hefty margin of error. Clinton could be 4.9 points higher in this poll or 4.9 points lower in the previous poll that showed her 10 points ahead if that sample was as tiny. It’s very possible that there has been no real change in the numbers between the two polls. Or it could mean that Comey’s inappropriate release of information of dubious relevance could be having an effect. Better to go with the poll averages.
Regardless if Clinton holds on and wins, my faith in our countrymen and women has disappeared. The mere fact that Trump is even in the discussion is a disgrace. We are the laughing stock of the world. Present company excluded.

“Live telephone”?? You mean land line?
If so, then you polled old white repukes and she’s STILL ahead.
I feel you, but if Clinton wins, and we take the Senate, at least the right party is in place to do some restoration. It’s kinda what we do these days: Clinton cleaned up after Reagan, Obama’s had to rent a fleet of backhoes to clean up after the Shrub… Now it will be up to Hillary’s admin and her voters to clean up after a man who didn’t even get elected.
I can’t find the graphs to post here, but she’s actually in much better shape than Obama was. The Obama / Romney polls were much tighter going into the election, and Obama was still considered a very solid favorite.
I think even a tiny chance of a Trump win has the majority of this country jittery and on edge. The GOP handed their party’s nomination to a white supremacist. A fascist. Plain and simple. Trump is not a politician. He is a wannabe dictator. He hate speech towards women, blacks, Latinos, Muslims, gays, people with disabilities – basically anyone that isn’t white, male, and Christian – is blood curdling.
The GOP has been heading in this direction for a long, long time. They have arrived. And it’s hideous.
No, “live telephone” (or “live caller”) means both land line and cell.
Good to know. They should have stuck, with live caller.
