Discussion: Mom Of Neo-Nazi Suspected Of Killing Gay Boss: 'That Is Not My Son'

Discussion for article #235316

The gay panic defense has been used to try and justify killing homosexual men for a long time. Buzz Bissinger wrote about it in '95.

The only question is how could anyone resist his sexual charisma? Just ask his mom.

My take: Stancil wanted something from Lane. Lane said no. Stancil said he’d put out the word Lane was macking on him.

Lane told Stancil to quit slandering him.

Stancil then reminded Lane that while he could mount a slander case against him, his estate could not, and took the necessary action.

Everything old is new again. I remember it had it’s ‘day’ for about a decade, but it just didn’t seem to be a hit with juries.

Also - Moms, amiright?

‘Ted told me he didn’t do any of that. So I told him, look mister, these are serious allegations of murder and mayhem and berserking and shocking perversity and savagery … so I want you right now down on his knees to swear to me and your dead father’s soul, on the family bible, holding my third ex-husbands earthy remains, with the bleeding wounds of baby Jeebus in your eyes, that none it’s true and you’re totally innocent and then, fine, I’ll speak up for you everywhere all the time and without reservation’

Also, hearsay works better with Mom. Not in COURT, of course; in court, mom hearsay is so expected, if you don’t see it everyone gets the willies.

Let’s see what he has to say about unwanted sexual advances from men after a few months in prison.

Women have been brushing off much larger persons of the male persuasion since time immemorial. Usually but not always without problems.

I’ve always been perplexed that this panic defense worked at all.

Stopped by to say same the same thing.

GPD is BS.

You and most of the generation of jury members who heard this raised in just about every case of friend or acquaintance murder. Got so the lay prosecutos down in parking violation court could recite the binding case law in the appropriate jury guidance on this defence. It’s like the Village People came first, then the Exorcist, then over-hyped panic over gay sex, then 10 years of bullshit lies that dissolved under cross, then it was over. Even the VP had moved on.

Stancil living in fear of his sexuality…

The victim hit on her son (a queer-basher – which means he’s probably queer) and the sknhead got aroused. Conflicted, he lashed out by murdering the guy who’s dick he wanted to suck.
Its pretty obvious.

So when can women shoot men for being uncomfortable for unwanted advances? Such a loose argument to put forth.

I think he could have said no. I think that would have been much better than killing him, don’t most people? If he kept doing it than he should have dropped his classes and not had any more contact with him. Obviously, this man wanted to kill a gay man and did it.

Had Ms. Stancil sid “Stop me if you’ve heard this one” before the interview started? She could have saved everyone a lot of time.

Stancil is such a hunk, I don’t see how Lane could have controlled himself. Those face tats are just dreamy.

I’ll be sure to catch up on him when he appears on “Lockup.”

Left behind a video??? She speaks as though he is dead, but I thought he was alive? Did he murder-suicide?

Perhaps he equated being fired for making homophobic and racist remarks at work with being ‘hit on’ by his former boss. I also haven’t seen/looked for what officially got him fired in the first place… could it be having gang/racist tattoos on publically visible locations of his body?

If more women tried this solution for campus rape or sexual harassment, perhaps the message would start getting through?
