Mittens can use this one on the campaign trail.
I went to get my rectal exam yesterday and as it was finishing and the doctor walked out, the nurse walks in and says those 5 words you never want to hear….
Who the fuck was that?
Not quite sure about his mental agility yet but fairly positive that he is at least as on the ball as Preznident early to mid onset Orangehue.
Took me a minute…
It will be important to ask if he’s been administered a drug called Lupron. This drug is supposed to suppress testosterone. It worked on that score for my husband. But it basically fucks with the brain. After a few months, he thought he was losing his mind. I did some research then and whoa, lotsa problems, especially a thing called “Lupron brain.” Yes, they tell you about side-effects, but are you really listening when you’re weighing that against cancer? My husband is finally coming out of it, but he had to take anti-anxiety and depression drugs. Not sure he’ll ever be the same, high-powered guy.
So, it is important and relevant to know the full story of a candidate’s or appointee’s health.
We now know more about a past US presidential nominee’s health than we do the current US President’s health.
No, it is not important to ask that. It’s silly. Lupron is used to treat metastatic Prostate Cancer. Romney had Gleason 6 adenocarcinoma of the prostate with no dissemination in the seminal vesicles or the lymph nodes. Surgical removal of the prostate under those conditions is curative. If his PSA’s start climbing he’ll get lupron or xanti…but it’s not likely he ever will need those drugs.
There is no such thing as “lupron brain”. The drug has been used for decades to treat a host of disorders…from precocious puberty in girls to PAC. No such hazard exists.
Some people are saying - Trump was joking that it was really an ovarian cyst.
I’m pleased to hear that Mr. Romney has successfully beaten cancer.
No, I did not vote for him. Some things transcend partisanship.
Prostate cancer is one of the most curable cancers. The vast majority of men that have prostate cancer die from something else years later.
Lord I hope this isnt going to be years of Oprah and Mit.
Looks as if the media wants this.
I suppose the fine doctors at Dartmouth who treated my husband knew nothing when they explained the problems with Lupron? If you’re a doctor, what if you don’t necessarily trust the drug companies and perform a wider range of research on the topic? Side effects of Lupron include a foggy brain (yes, it is referred to as “Lupron brain”), anxiety, and depression. We had long talks with the oncologists and our pcp about this. Other men we know, including corporate colleagues and my brother in law, have experienced the same effects. Sometimes personal experience produces insights. I can certainly attest to that in my husband’s case.
I don’t give a damn what the media wants. The media gave us Donald Trump and look how that worked out.
Government is about creating and administering public policy. That’s not something everyone’s cut out to do. We need to get over this obsession with celebrity. It doesn’t benefit our country in the long run.
Oprah has no public policy skills and I doubt she can relate to the “little people” after all these years of being a high profile celebrity. If she wants to build public policy skills, she should start with the school board or city council and work her way up.
“If his PSA’s start climbing he’ll get lupron or xanti…”
Why do they still do a PSA if the prostate has been removed? If the antigen is specific to the prostate and there is no longer any prostate why perform that test?
Except if 45 got cancer.
It tends to be over treated. They wanted to take out my grandfather’s prostate at 91 while they were repairing a hernia. Like, wtf? Hernia, prostate, I suppose they’re in the same vicinity! We told them no. He’ll die from something else before he dies of that, and he did 9 years later!. They just wanted to use his insurance as an ATM machine.
This is a classic disclosure early in the election cycle. Yep, he is running for the Senate.
Professionally played Mitt, professionally played.

Few drugs come without side effects. If her husband experienced a side effect while taking a drug and she has confirmation from others, I would give her opinion more consideration than anything provided by a drug company on a cruise to Hawaii.
Part of being a doctor is deciding whether the cure is worth the side effects because few drugs don’t have side effects. No doctor worth his degree accepts the drug company’s word for anything. They are highly motivated to sell product. They have professional sales teams working hard to convince you their latest snake oil is a magic bullet.
Here are two of a long list of side effects taken from the Lupron site.
“depression, …
memory problems.”
