Crocodile tears over the loss of the black vote as the GOP swallows the larger southern white vote. The Dems lost the South over the principle that all citizens have equal rights. The GOP lost the black vote rejecting equal rights for all citizens.
Trump is a tempestuous child , that swine Goldwater (may he burn in Hell) came to his savagery from a perverse intellectual point of view. People can look back on him wistfully but he was a son-of-a-bitch and he still is.
I wish the GOP was dead but it’s like a slasher movie villain that keeps coming back to life. The parties are just chickenwire and paper mache frameworks that are populated by morphine senses of self interests, grievances and power bases. As long as those underlying populations are looking for representatives the parties will live on … whatever name they might have.
