when a man ‘gives it’ to a woman, i believe she can do whatever she wants with ‘it’. there has clearly been a transfer of ownership.

Read Margaret Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” where women are forced to bear children and have no choice in the matter. No longer in the realm of science fiction…

Speechless. Do not know what to say. And Mitt Romney’s wife claims there is no war on women.

Missouri - the ‘blow-me’ state!

Hilarious when one thinks about how many women didn’t vote and how many voted for the local GOP rep. It’s happening all over the country - even the Supreme Court is telling women a corporation can control their health and well being.

“That guy? No way he’s the father…” How the hell would you enforce this? Examine the DNA from the fetus? Which would endanger the fetus? To protect the fetus? WTF?

Poe’s law’ll getcha every time.

Here we go again. (sigh) This clearly shows opposition to abortion is not about life … it’s about men controlling female reproductive capacity.

I don’t wonder that Republicans seem to think that regulation is what Democrats do because they hate business, because that’s exactly the way they use it against any practice or entity they disapprove of – to try to regulate it out of existence.

To be fair this is entirely consistent with republican dogma. If you believe life begins at conception, then shouldn’t the father have a chance to save his kid’s life?

Before you all start calling me Rush Limpaw, I am not pro-life. Just posing their rationale.

Until men can get pregnant, yes, it’s a false equivalency. It’s her body, and she has the say as to what happens with it. If a guy doesn’t want to get stuck paying child support, then he should keep it in his pants.

Absolutely. It’s about that, and it’s about being able to shame a woman for her sexuality.

It occurs to me to ask: what does this bill say about a baby conceived as a result of rape? Does this mean the woman has to get the rapist’s permission before she can terminate the pregnancy?

And of course, there is the issue of an abusive spouse. If a woman wants to leave her abusive husband, and discovers that she is pregnant, then isn’t this bill just giving that abuser tremendous power over that woman?

I will point out that the doofus/fascist behind this bill is also the same legislator who proposed giving equal time for the teaching of ¨intelligent design¨ and evolution.
