I wonder if these norms of behavior in public will ever be recovered in my lifetime. My personal feeling is that no one should want Trump to die. Death will make him a martyr. I want him to live a long life and experience justice.

I don’t judge the reaction. But she is a public servant - thinking it is one thing, saying it in private is one thing. Social media has been around long enough that we all know what happens when you write something controversial. One should assume anything you post will be traced back to you.
She knows better, and if she doesn’t, I question her judgment and fitness for public service. Things like this don’t help, and just gives our opponents fuel to spread the “both sides” BS.
Unforced error. I’m not demanding her resignation - that’s between her and her constituents - but this is gonna be parroted on Fox and the entire MSM as proof of “both sides.” Just frustrating.
