I’ve tried that. I get hundreds of articles describing the protests, none of which describe what is actually being protested beyond a nebulous ‘systematic racism’. Well how? How is the racism systematic? Why does the president deserve the blame for it? Much less the chancellor? The articles don’t address any of that.

Wow, aside from demands number 6 and 7 those are actually quite unreasonable demands. They demand that the college start making hiring decisions based on race alone? All Universities already have diversity training. The % of black staff already matches the % black students, and while faculty is lower, it isn’t that far out of whack. A panel of exclusively black faculty should oversee the training of the white faulty? The president has to hold a press conference to confess his white privilege? White privilege exists, no doubt about that. But to try and demand someone to hold a press conference to apologize for being born white? F that. And it still doesn’t answer why the president should resign. If this is really what it is all about, I gotta say, the president was wrong to resign. If the football players refuse to play, fine, they lose their scholarships. Done and done.
