Discussion for article #226725
Jay Nixon might as well be Neville Chamberlain. Now there’s nothing to stop those agitators in Ferguson from taking over the entire state!
Oh, the humanity!
I don’t envy the Governor’s job. He’s in a crazy red state and if he wants to run for another term to balance out the RWNJs, he has to fence straddle somewhat. Regardless, Republicans will attack him no matter what he does. At least he has been able to veto some of the Republican crazy this past couple years. I only wish he had the courage to appoint a special prosecutor. Without one, there will be little effort at getting to the truth or having anything other than a show trial with a predetermined outcome.
I don’t know! Curfews…National Guard…looks to me like Gov. Jay Nixon (D) has a bit overreacted to the challenges on the ground.
Clearly there is a VERY aggressive power struggle going on behind the scenes. What happens next?
This is disgraceful and disgusting! How ironic is it that Russia and others are counseling the US to have more discretion and to keep things in perspective.
It’s time for the Microsoft 3-Fingered Salute in Ferguson. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del and Reboot the entire City and County Police. And rid them of their Military Toys until they realize their role in Ferguson.
The Governor seems like a bit of a muttering fool to me and appears to be in over his head.
He’s got the standard boiler plate shit down pat and regurgitates the obvious. He also tossed out the both side do it BS and acted like it’s a fair fight. It isn’t.
Leadership is not what I’m personally getting from him on this one.
When he demands that all of the evidence be put out at once and gets out of toy soldier mode, he will still be way too late.
