Good to know that kids aren’t citizens. Also ex-cons, apparently.
In that case one could argue that those under 18 then cannot be counted to decide how many Congresspersons that State could have.
Republicans never rest in their battle to subvert democracy.
They’re just Originalists, want things like in the fucking Constitution.
Last time I went to vote, saw a heckuva lot of people who didn’t match the White, landowning males as described in the Constitution.
You can thank the selfish progressives who gave us this Supreme Court and 45.
So what’s the endgame here? If they impoverish the masses, no one can afford to buy crap and then what?
They never think that far ahead… Can’t handle basic concepts of how an economy works…
Always throw your litter on the street.
Gives a job for streetsweepers.
Who spend their cash on food and supplies at the corner store.
Enabling the shopkeeper to buy a new car from the dealership.
And the dealership owner to pay the doctor for a boob job for his wife.
And the Doctor to buy a yacht.
It’s really true - with the exception of McConnell, and the Fed Society bros, it’s all short-term thinking. Until that flood comes roaring through their houses.
Yup. I am amazed that they never realize how their billions would be worth so much more if the economy was better attuned to purchase the goods and services that they are producing or own via stock and whatnot.
Not to mention climate change (in terms of short-term thinking). I’m ready to emigrate, my work is all telecommute. But being an expat can be lonely. My brother has lived in Portugal for 30 years and I think he wishes, in his older age, he could move back.
They want serfs so that the most loyal Republicans can have their own fiefdoms. Which will be followed by intra-party wars between the lords, to amass more land and power. Then they’ll bring back the Crusades so that the young masters will quit fighting each other and go after whatever infidels they name. The Dark Ages were such fun it would be a shame if no one tried to recreate them.
Complete with the bubonic plague because, you know, vaccines. And no socialist CDC.
Ya’ll may have laughed at Kevin Costner in “Waterworld” and “The Postman” but those movies are looking pretty precedent. We just need to watch out for the former Xerox salesman.
*prescient.
#GrammarNazi
…And then he streams CNN for 10 minutes during prime time and thinks, “maybe next year…”
And this is in response to a citizens vote to end gerrymandering…they are really trying to make democracy difficult so that they can keep power indefinitely. I keep hoping that, at some point, enough Americans get clued in to the fact that Republicans aren’t interested in democracy anymore, only in gaining and keeping power…it’s going to take kicking them out, and keeping them out for a few election cycles, to clear out all the crap they are doing to our government to make it undemocratic.
Thnx I knew that was wrong, but hey I was in a hurry.
Thanks??? How about sorry for ruining my day with bad grammar??? ![]()
Which likely only won due to lots of illegal immigrants voting. Protecting Real Americans’ votes is paramount, and at least the Republicans are making a stand on that principle, however unpopular it may be.
