Their constituents are very fortunate to live in an area where this can be the priority of local government. It must be wonderful for them not to be distracted from the real business of governing by more trivial considerations, such as policing, the state of their roads, economic development, etc.

Touche’. But I was thinking more of the rainbow flag with a big black slash circle emblazoned upon it, or something to that effect. But the heritage-racist flag would do in a pinch.

No, I don’t want the odious people that live there to benefit and the things you suggest could/would raise the property values of these bigots. Let them keep it backwoods and probably poor as all get out while they rail against the “other”.

p.s. As to lowering the flag, what are they going to do if something truly tragic happens…lower the flag a teensy bit more?
