Another a-hole, this is right up there with Darren Wilson Day. I am assuming he is referencing all his OT pay. Might be time to lay his ass off.

St. Louis County Sgt. Shawn McGuire told The Associated Press that Bakula is a patrolman and the post would be investigated.

It has not come out yet. But I can still post that this guy is an asshole based on his facebook post, I think that is pretty obvious.

Yes, if it turns out someone hacked his facebook account and made the post, I will apologize. But at this point I’m thinking that is not the case.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.

The post isn’t just controversial. It’s a pathognomonic symptom of a condition the Police say they don’t have.

Simply: Food-for-thought:

Overtime for demonstrations can be very lucrative for police officers in Missouri in general. According to the St Louis Business Journal, just responding in the wake of Brown’s killing in August 2014 cost St Louis County a reported $4m, including “$2.5m in overtime for police work”. By January, the South County Times reported that St Louis County police had “put in 121,935 hours of work since the shooting, which amounts of $3.9m in overtime costs and $1.2m in fringes.

Conflict of interest? By fueling civil unrest police put themselves into a more economically advantage position.

Would there be public outrage:

  • If an Arlington National Cemetery Worker bragged about their JFK BONUS and how he spent the money?
  • How about a worker bragging about their 9/11 BONUS and vacation?

Lastly:

"The St Louis County police department takes these allegations very serious in every case. The remarks on the Facebook page will be investigated by our department.”

Possible Translation? Let’s wait to see if this blows over.

“He also said the department understands the post is “controversial.””

When will this cop’s gofundme account appear?

Thanks for explaining this. The article didn’t provide much context, so I wasn’t really sure what the issue was.

And then they retire, getting checks based on their higher overtime pay. You hear about it all the time.

Considering the circumstances and the still hot conflict going on, this is grounds for immediate dismissal.

There are a lot of sensitive feelings out there right now and it only takes one foolish thing like this to cause the whole thing to erupt all over again.

The cops need to learn that they can’t just do or say as they please and really, should never even think it.

I work in city government and worked some OT after 9/11. Should the extra cash be my G.W. Bush, Osama bonus?

Yes, because we can’t have comments or opinions unless 100% informed of all the facts.

Moron.

Now that his creepy cop has made his inner biases known publicly, he’s just solidified that he’ part of the problem and not the solution of what’s needed to truly heal the Ferguson community.

the nypd is notorious for that scam… not to mention going out on ‘disability’ and then found jet-skiing off the florida coast.
