Oh No! Miss USA actually has a brain, and realizes that you need to have jobs to get healthcare. No Free Rides… Get off your asses and work

So every job has health care available, right?

What she said is actually word salad. Is she saying only people who work are entitled to health care? Is she saying that having a healthy economy is essential to providing health care? Something different? Love the conservatives pretending that she said something intelligent.

Why sure .
They’re called “The Emergency Room go Bankrupt Plan”

My thoughts exactly:

“I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some, uh, people out there in our nation don’t have maps and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future [for our children].”

I think it was one of those “Oh crap, why didn’t I rehearse that answer” responses

It is really strange (and sad) that it seems natural to so many people that healthcare is a function of having an employer pay a large portion of the cost of insurance to a private insurance company that uses a large chunk of that premium dollar to pay large bonus’ to its executives and dividends to its investors. To folks like Miss USA, the notion that our nations health care should be a profit center for a corrupt private industry seems as natural as Donald Trumps hair piece.

> you need to have jobs, so therefore we need to continue to cultivate this environment that we’re given the opportunity to have health care as well as jobs to all the American citizens worldwide.”

Yeah, word salad.

Apparently, she hasn’t heard of the concept of having a job that doesn’t offer health insurance.

@jimellis You bring up a really good point. One of the main reasons America is pretty much just getting to a national discussion on this now is due to the fact that so many citizens really believe what you just pointed out. In the 21st C, that’s starting to change.

Why do I think she’ll soon become a magnet for pies, eggs, etc.

But she’s a graduate of South Carolina State University, a Gamecock. So there’s that.

Methinks Colbert will have something to say about her tonight.

Success often follows after being a beauty queen. Look at Sarah Plain. She soared to great heights in Alaska before she crashed in Washington.

@sickneffintired Who among us is not sickneffintired at paying high ER costs because of the unemployed. I’m happy to pay $71. for an aspirin. Right.

@brooklyndweller The Queen of The USA was disappointed to learn that her health care didn’t cover the cost of her breast implants, the procedure to put her eyebrows on her forehead and rhinoplasty.

Nobody’s fooled.

Minorities unemployed? It’s their won damn faults!!!

Someone thinks Trump still owns Miss USA…

McCullough has NO clue as to how she’s perceived by a good portion of White people in this country who think she’s “one of the good ones” for pointing out how “her people” just need to get a damn job and stop freeloading.

A paragon of compassion, for sure. MissUsa, you are one auto accident, one autoimmune disease, or one spin of the genetic dice away from a pre-existing condition.
Every time you shop at Walmart, consider whether you are benefitting in any way from the employees who assist you but can’t earn enough to afford the US’s pricey health care. Their low wages contribute to the low cost of merchandise that you benefit from.
If you work for a large company, your insurance is most likely good, but if you decide to work for a small employer and are under Trumpcare, your job may be in jeopardy if you become sick and your employer begins to feel the pinch from his insurer.
With luck, you will continue to be insulated from real life, but the odds are against that.

I have as much respect for this woman’s opinion as I do for anything Donny has ever tweeted. Who cares what she thinks? She’s entitled to her opinion, and I am entitled to consider her ignorant on this issue.
