My father (may he RIP), while I was young was a very tolerant and temperate man.
Ingrained those same qualities in us kids.
As he got old-- having lived in a racist environ north of ATL for the better part of 20yrs–
Fox News, and local RWNJ hate-radio jock Neil Boortz–
along with the people he socialized with–
rotted a perfectly good mind.
For many years before he passed-- I opined that it would
‘take the passing of my father’s generation to see real change societally’.
Not that I hoped my dad would ‘kick-the-bucket’–
but that the prevalent mindset of his RWNJ-WASP ilk would fade away quickly.
My dad passed away 9 days before BHO first took the oath of office in 2009.
And change began.
Jillian Melchior may have been more pointed in asserting
her impending joy over Gasparino’s demise–
but the thought process is similar to my own.
It would behoove a large majority–
that suffer by way of Gasparino’s injustice and dumbassery–
that his ilk simply die sooner-- than later.
So change can continue.

Bingo! And in typical Fox fashion, its scripted to make the older man appear tough and giving a good talking to to those snotty nosed upstarts. Even her response underlines that she has no respect for her elders.
That being said, I too, look forward to the end of the baby boomer influence. They continue to showcase their most selfish, “me-focused” members as some sort of shining example. When quite the opposite is true.

It’s tough to get noticed like Bertrand Russel or Edward R. Murrow did. You have to be someone…be good at something. Anyone can get noticed as a jerk. To achieve that all you have to be is a jerk.
