Discussion: Mike Pence Booed As He Attended Broadway Show 'Hamilton' (VIDEO)

Don’t think we want to use him as a model.

CNN reported this earlier today with no mention of the booing. Isn’t that an example of “fake” news?

Probably his wife’s decision. “Go shopping at Bloomingdales and see latest hit Broadway show” are typical requests from someone visiting from fly-over country.

I wonder if Pence enjoyed “The Danish Girl?”

The people who claim blunt, politically incorrect speech is necessary & proper when they do it wail like pu$$ies when they get some feedback in the form of blunt, politically incorrect speech. Why is that?

Agree, but dont think we ought to be clutching our pearls or rosary in horror at someone’s expression on a comment board, on a political blog, given the context of recent history and given the most popular chant during GOP campaign rallies and convention.

And that is just as unacceptable. We don’t do that crap in this country. It belies everything we stand for. And like @just_between_us said, not thinking we start using his behavior as our model.

You have got to be kidding with that line. This is a man, who as governor, advocated for electro shock treatment to “burn the gay away”. And you are worried that he is being picked on?? He pushed through and signed a law that allowed businesses to discriminate and refuse to serve people based on the sexual orientation. He got to see the show, not denied at the front door, as he advocated the performers be treated in his state of Indiana.

So the response to that depraved idiocy…is more depraved idiocy? No, that’s stupid.

Nobody is talking about behavior. Someone made a comment on a political blog. In case you were in church during the entire presidential campaign and debates, lots of inappropriate threats were just made against Hillary Clinton by the president elect. If you were to go to the blogs frequented by the people who voted for him, I am sure you would find much worse than someone asking where was John Wilkes Boothe.

CNN report here, looks like a pretty good “real” news story to me.

“Fly-over country”. Nice. Glad to know you value all of us in this country.

and this is why Democrats will continue to lose. While I could agree it could have been said more artfully, to be dainty about one’s feelings is like bringing a carefully sharpened fingernail to a gunfight.

How else to describe Indiana? Not exactly a bastion of the arts and humanities.

Precisely my point. It’s. Not. Right. It shouldn’t be part of our discourse. Anywhere. Your attitude of “they did it, too, and worse” perpetuates the problem and further promotes it. Why am I having to argue against murdering people?! Even hinting at it?! SMH

A comment on a political blog is neither action nor depraved idiocy. And lets see if the moderators delete the comment.

One can train birds of prey to go after rodents (weasels, ferrets and other such pests). Heck, some countries are training eagles to go after drones.

Stop clutching your pearls. I’ve had people tell me they’d love it if California fell into the ocean. And they meant it.

Then trump’s tweet would have read, “Our wonderful VP escaped assassination attempt with poisoned vegetables! Should not happen!”

Oh, FFS. If this is the attitude my party members are taking, we’ve lost our way.
