waiting for a new administration, a new AG and RICO indictments against the GOP.

I guess I won’t hold my breath.

Why does the GOP try to win elections if they can steal them, Supreme Court seats, etc?

One down, 32 to go.

This is great, but this will undoubtedly be appealed to the SCOTUS.

My favorite part of the judicial order is the 90-day window to get it done before the court steps in to do it for them.

It always makes me happy to see Republicans squirm under a court-ordered deadline.

And we’ll get more of that once the congressional subpoena issues get to the courts, which should be sometime next month.

Along with the anti gerrymandering proposal (which passed by 60% or so), we got ourselves a Dem governor now. Chances are good we’ll get a good map now.

This is great news. Those emails won’t help the republicans’ case. There is ample evidence that the majority of voters- democrats- are underrepresented in the state legislature.

The Supremes had better make the correct judgment.

Unless the Michigan GOP is stupider than I thought—which would be a major violation of the laws of physics—the Supremes have no say in this.

It’s the 3-judge panel that will decide.

The top of the executive branch is dem and all women, except for the Lt. Governor! Whitmer is trying to get he damn roads fixed, as well as other important issues, but the republicans control the legislature and they’re not cooperating, to no one’s surprise.

Like in Pennsylvania? The Supremes weren’t involved there.

They’re much less likely to control it after the new map and the elections.

Yeah, ran on a platform basically consisting of “fix the damned roads!”

Simple message which resonated.

For now, at least, they want the appearance of legitimacy. Once they have complete power, it may be possible to dispense entirely with such niceties.

But the republicans refuse to provide funding. She wants to tax businesses, many of which got a nice fat tax cut from Rick Snyder.

Can’t have hat, ya know. Education funding has also been cut drastically. Turn those corps upside down and shake all that money out. That will be a very successful “trickle down.”

The issue with this SCOTUS is that they don’t consider the factual record to determine whether a violation happened or the mental state if equites by the crime. They just look at whether a position taken is reasonably defensible in the abstract and then they rule for Trump.

Well, we’ll see how it all shakes out. But we have to get control of the Senate next year.

The case featured evidence — including emails between the GOP staffers in charge of drawing the maps – that was notable for how explicitly the partisan intent was spelled out. In one email, a staffer bragged that a map was “a glorious way that makes it easier to cram ALL of the Dem garbage in Wayne, Washtenaw, Oakland, and Macomb counties into only four districts.”

Another staffer cheered that a map that the Michigan Republicans were drawing was “perfect” because “it’s giving the finger to [S]andy [L]evin,” referring to a Democratic U.S. House member in the state.

IOW, these guys can’t even crime right. When criming, don’t write stuff down. Even No Notes Trump knows that.
