So with the high propensity the American Taliban and republicans in general have, we should expect this to be come law in Michigan.

I don’t think that they actually care whether every pregnancy ends in a live birth, just as long as women who want to terminate a pregnancy can’t do so. Otherwise they’d be funding prenatal care, health care for women in general, contraception and so forth.

All these bills boil down to is slut-shaming. You were a bad, bad girl. You dared control your own body and in the event that that control was taken from you, well, your skirt was too short anyway.
These same people don’t care about Head Start or school lunch or WIC or anything else that might actually help the kid that you’ve forced her her to birth. They want them both to suffer. They want the “slut” to learn her lesson.

Of course the fetus is alive, all cells are alive. A heart beat can be observed and manipulated in cell culture.See beating myocytes It only means that cardiac cells have differentiated to the point that the ion channels are functioning. It says nothing about whether the circulatory system is working or whether the fetus is or ever would be viable. I wish that they would stop lying about a clump of cells being a child and focus their energies on helping real children.

Michigan is being run by RWNJs in Lansing and a more slightly moderate nerd governor. The RWNJs have our nerd gov by the balls. How did this come to be? By left leaners not voting in 2010 and by desperate jobless voters believing the nerd’s empty promises.
