Neither of these statements obviate Trump’s knowledge of the overall project. Why would Trump be involved directly with the machinations of one of his minions, Cohen? “Make it so.” Cohen didn’t inform trump about the email. So what. There are sources other than Cohen. And we know that Trump signed the letter of intent:

Investigators could come up with proof Putin personally deposited a billion dollars in a Trump bank account, at Trump’s behest, and it wouldn’t matter. It wouldn’t matter if the money was in exchange for information from secret CIA files. Trump can’t be charged with a crime while in office, and I’ll posit even provable treason wouldn’t result in a 2/3 conviction vote at a Senate impeachment trial. Face it people, TRUMP CAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS, HE’S IMMUNE TO REPERCUSSIONS, EITHER LEGAL OR POLITICAL.

Wait, what? “He didn’t remember”??? I think if I’d sent an email directly to a foreign adversary’s head of state, I’d remember if I’d gotten a response or not.
