If, as seems likely, it turns out that Trump impregnated the Playboy bunny who got $1.6 million of Elliot Broidy’s money to stay quiet about it, Trump will quickly resign in disgrace. The Broidy NDA that came to light as a result of the Cohen investigation reeks of barely-disguised bribery. It should be a simple matter for investigators to determine whether Broidy’s confession is genuine or merely an effort to cover for Trump and shield himself from criminal liability for paying a 1.6 million dollar bribe. That’s the most immediate danger the USA SDNY poses to Trump.
On the other hand, Mueller will probably indict most of Trump’s inner circle on charges arising out of the '16 campaign sometime this summer. Trump’s presidency can’t survive that either.
One way or the other, the prosecutors are going to dismantle the Trump administration. It will be fascinating to see which posse catches up to Trump first.
