Stuff like this (and anyone who lives in a big city knows of lots of stuff like this with taxi medallions) makes one think more kindly of Uber – or at least to realize how totally broken the medallion system is and how much it needed to be replaced.

You would think that as soon as the guy who managed his medallions got arrested for not paying taxes on medalllions, Cohen would have dispatched an assistant to make sure that the payments for which he was personally responsible were up to date. It would, y’know, be the ethical thing to do. And that once he was notified of the deficiency, he would make good immediately (and collect any liability from his agent later).
