Get out there and win, Lesley. It’s so important to have voices at the city, county, and state levels. This is where the groundwork is laid for everything from gun control to a woman’s right to choose, to holding the police accountable.

More seriously, non-presidential elections are crucially important too. Let’s get dems back in the white house and at control in congress–eg the supreme court is at stake–but at the local/state levels a lot can be done for this country as well. From school boards which have a big say in what textbooks are used to legislators looking at gerrymandering & determining abortion laws, govs and mayors setting budgets–none of this is new to anyone here but it’s better if dems do this work (IMHO). So get dems to vote in non-prez races as well.
