Since most of the objects in the shrine were children’s toys, and therefore somewhat fire retardant, it does give one pause for thought.

Uh,candles wouldn’t have burned every single scrap of material there. It was doused with a flame accelerant and torched. Clearly and obviously.

Obvious lie. A responsible official wouldn’t bother with the “we’re all saddened” part. No one gives a crap how you feel about it. A responsible official would acknowledge the significance of the memorial and the seriousness of its destruction if foul play is involved.
