Discussion for article #245293
he is a liar.
Is Synder serious? He is the former CEO of Gateway. He has run the state like it’s a business. There’s no way he didn’t know.
"The agency that manages state buildings said Thursday water coolers were introduced at the building after Flint flunked some drinking water standards that weren’t related to lead."
Naturally an enterprising reporter at WWJ-AM asked the obvious question of the agency that installed the water coolers: "You state the coolers were not installed due to the presence of lead in the water, but due to an issue with some other drinking water standard. What was that issue?"
Waiting....waiting.......
“The agency that manages state buildings said Thursday water coolers were introduced at the building after Flint flunked some drinking water standards that weren’t related to lead.”
Oh, no, that wasn’t about lead at all! That was about an entirely different failure to supply safe drinking water in Flint.
Of course he knew. He said as much right here.
Snyder told WWJ-AM in an interview Friday morning that he had “no knowledge of that taking place.” He says his understanding is that the use of bottled water at the state building in Flint was because of warnings by the Flint officials that were issued at the time.
He had an understanding that bottled water was being sent to the state building in Flint, at precisely the time warnings were being raised. That is completely incompatible with saying he had "no knowledge of that taking place:
So not only is he lying, he is doing a very poor job of lying.
Remember the good ol’ days when politicians put some effort into lying? They respected it for the skill and finesse required to tell a good whopper and not blink. They did a bit of research, and subsequent lies plausibly supported and aligned with the previous ones told. These fricking amateurs today get on my nerves.
His statements continue to remind me of Sgt. Schultz on Hogan’s Heroes. “I know nothink…nothink!”
Even if he was telling the truth and that “water coolers were introduced at the building after Flint flunked some drinking water standards that weren’t related to lead”, it is an admission that the State Snyder runs knew the water was unsafe.
Snyder told WWJ-AM in an interview Friday morning that he had “no knowledge of that taking place.” He says his understanding is that the use of bottled water at the state building in Flint was because of warnings by the Flint officials that were issued at the time.
This doesn’t even make any sense. So someone in the State Government affirmatively took action on the basis of Flint official’s warning regarding the tap water by supplying bottled water for themselves, all the while denying any corrective measures to the citizens of Flint? Yes, he damn well better deny he knew anything.
Oh, THAT Flint. We thought you were talking about the OTHER Flint, an entirely DIFFERENT Flint, where the water’s just fine, been fine all along. People complain, of course, but that’s just politics, you get that everywhere. So, yeah, other Flint entirely, sorry, but you weren’t clear in your question about which Flint you meant. So, what was the question again? Ah jeez, lookit the time, I gotta go.
Guv. Snyder and Guv. Christie are such hands on Guvs, but they just do not know what the hell is going on in their states! Really? Both are big ass right wing racist liars! How do these states manage to keep electing idiots liars and jerks?
When Synder got elected the first time (2010), folks here in Michigan were desperate for jobs. Even though Synder never really said what he would do and folks were warned by the Dems, he got elected anyway. Immediately business got big tax breaks and we got less services and higher fees for what we do have. He took away charity deductions for state tax returns. He started taxing pensions too. He said right to work (less) wasn’t on his agenda then at the last minute despite protests, he signed it into law anyway. In spite of all that, folks voted him a second term in 2014. As usual it was off year elections that he won and he brought in a ton of RWNJ repubs to run Lansing. We are so screwed here.
Note the date: Jan.7, 2015 - AKA: The Smoking Gun
Eesearchers uncovering elevated levels of lead in children’s bloodstreams for a lead advisory to finally be issued in September of 2015. Residents were told not to drink the water and a public health emergency was declared by the Genesee County Health Department in October, and Synder declared a state of emergency in December 2015 … almost a full year after water (coolers) was brought in for state employees out of concern over water quality.
Just as Walker was returned in WI, and LePage in Maine, and Scott in FL. A GOP candidate could promise to burn down your house, steal your wife and shoot your dog and he’d still be reelected. Republicans are some of the most self-loathing people on the planet.
Oh, this is just looking better and better for Snyder.
Rick Snyder had to replace the duly elected government of Flint because he is much, much smarter, abler, more efficient than they. He then became responsible for everything that happened in Flint. Everything. If his staff misled him, it’s because he appointed unreliable staff. It’s all on him. All of it.
I guess we have enough smoking guns here to obscure the perception of criminal acts by the Gov. Just wait until these smoke signals are read by the proper authorities (assuming the state AG isn’t also in the Gov.'s pocket, and probably is, considering the state of the state).

as sgt. schultz liked to say, “i know nothing.”
