My guess, the delay is to give his attorneys time to get there. Even if he’s in a foreign country, he’s still entitled to due process. A 3 day delay is not the end all. Young Ethan probably isn’t aware of how unsavory staying in detention in a Mexican jail can be. After having Donnie the Wonder Boy disparage Mexicans, he will not be the most favorite detainee in history.
I predict he’ll get sent over to adult court to receive his sentencing. This has been the PR nightmare from hell. This kid is a disaster waiting to happen. They will give him enough rope to hang himself because he will not have learned a damn thing in the short time he’ll be incarcerated. Once he makes that fatal mistake, back to the hoosegow he goes.
