Discussion for article #233114
I kind of agree, but itâs no worse than the tongue bath Fox News allowed former Bush press secretary Dana Perino to give George W. Bush.
Megynâs just trying to show us that blondes have a sense of shame too.
just more gotcha that these guys play outâŚ
otoh, i have to agree with kelly; mph is an embarrassment. but nothing will top when she wore tampons as earrings. i donât even recall what the grievance of the moment wasâŚ
This just in! Woman lives in glass house! Throws rocks!
Well, it was definitely a silly request, although âThe Duckâ is his nickname. She was ribbing him, and he remained placid. Like a duck, I guess.
But he would have never heard the end of it if he had complied, and Iâm not sure where the humiliation comes in.
More likely, Fox is sad that it lost an opportunity to humiliate him.
And, yes, Iâm remembering a humiliating incident by John âWhere Eagles Soarâ Ashcroft.
But I suppose Fox doesnât want to bring him up for, um, a variety of reasons.
Iâm still trying to figure out which was stupider
-
Asking the outgoing AG to quack like a duck
-
Doing a show complaining about how mean people are for laughing at her telling kids that Santa and Jesus are white.
Megyn Kelly F-bombs Mike Huckabeeâs name:
This is very petty, I admit. But my wife is a blonde, I was blonde as a child and it turned reddish brown as I aged. Two of my daughters are natural blondes, one was almost âplatinum.â I know blondes, blondes are relatives of mine; and you, Madame Megyn, are no blonde.
Like Billo, itâs another âLook over there!â moment. pretending that Faux is some high bastion of news reporting.
Worst. Cable News. Ever.
In grace, poise, gravitas and all around smarts, Megyn Kelly canât hold a candle to Melissa Harris-Perry.
Hell, Iâll even play on Kellyâs turf and give Perry the edge in beauty and sexiness.
Please donât flame me for it but Iâll take a brainy woman any day over a ditz.
The simple fact is that she is right, but if any reasonable person applied the same standard to 99.9% of Faux Newsâ programming, they would probably cringe themselves to death.
Fox Not the News is absolutely superb at THIS:
Aside from the quack thing, the interview was a good one. She specifically asked him about voter suppression laws which she has often discussed with concern on her show. The duck reference was how she characterized Holder because he responds rather low-key, even when someone goes out of their way to piss him off, sort of like Gohmert tried to do in a hearing, but Holderâs tenaciousness, like that of a duck, she described as clearly an asset to pursuing justice. âLike water off a duckâs backâ. Its a good analogy, but the quack thing was kind of silly. She was trying to compliment him I think. It wasnât harmful, and it didnât take much away from the interview as it came right at the end. It was just a little juvenile sounding. My guess is that the first African-American AG in the US makes MHP extremely proud as a black woman. I see nothing wrong with that. It does indeed signify progress for this country.
Megyn seems very concerned that MHP âhumiliated herselfâ on air.
Let us all be reminded of what actual humiliation looks like.
MHP talking about race and civil rights! Really? How 'bout talking banks and banksters. What a self-absorbed bore. And no âquackâ from Holder the Duck? OK I guess. Always thought he was a mute anyway.
You know, itâs likely that Perry and Holder have an off-air friendship and she was just ribbing him a bit in a private way.
It may not be great TV, but when someone receives a paycheck from FOX, I find it hard to believe that anything could make them cringe.
Ms. Kelly, meet Mr. Pot and Mr. Kettle. You should all be fairly well acquainted by now.
And wasnât kurtz fired from an editorial gig for being an incompetent, lying sack of shit? Whereâs his shame pontificating on TV after being sacked for being a serial fabricator?
I saw the clip on Rachel last night and I suppose you have to be a Nerd to appreciate the humor in it - Rachel thought it was funny - but I didnât. However, I love Rachel and MHP, They are both wicked smart brainiacs and I suppose they thought it was funny. I think the AG handled himself with great aplomb
