So many lies in that interview. By Megyn, herself. First of all, the feds DO INDEED prosecute cases like this one, even if the person committing the felony is a Democrat. There’s just few people rich enough to be so flagrant with their $. So, NO, this was NOT a political prosecution, and I doubt Obama even knew about it before the charges were brought against this arrogant fool.

Shorter D’Souza: They shouldn’t have prosecuted me because of reasons.

So he didn’t have “intent” but he knew it was illegal. Sounds like he truly regrets only getting caught. I thought this was the law 'n order party of zero tolerance? Megyn Kelly didn’t do herself any professional favors fawning over this admitted criminal.

Megyn does what she’s told. Those are the only professional favors she needs. She wouldn’t see the light of day at any other news organization.

Conservatives love crooks who put party before country, like Ollie North and Gordon Liddy.

“…Obama administration gets to call one of its top critics a convicted felon,” Kelly said…"

If he plead guilty to planting a bomb in a day care center, Fox would make him a victim of Obama persecution and the Angry Old White People who watch Fox would nod in agreement.

I recall one group of AOWP in my neighborhood recently who were hurrying home because, they informed me, they feared they might miss Hannity.

Imagine a mother saying to an errant child, “You did it, but you didn’t mean to do it.” I know there are many people out there with bad parenting skills, but WTF, Megyn. The guy pleaded “Guilty!” He’s guilllltttttyyyyyyy!!!

Didn’t he get caught because the husband of the married woman he was cheating on his wife with made a secret recording and turned it over to the Feds? So, was this woman secretly married to Obama? Otherwise, it makes no sense that he was targeted in anyway except by his own stupidity.
Also, I hope the judge gives him the maximum penalty, and tells him that the things he said in the media even after appearing before the court apologizing profusely prove he isn’t truly contrite, continues to blame others for his behavior, and is trying to milk his crime for media attention.

Felons can’t vote in NY until they serve time and get to probation.

He is looking at around a year in jail and 250,000. in fines.

“I don’t know,” D’Souza replied. “I was facing two charges, Megan. The first one was exceeding the campaign finance limits. The second one was causing the government, the election commission, to file a false report. And that second charge carried a maximum of five years in prison. So what happened is I pleaded guilty to the charge of exceeding the campaign finance limits, and the government agreed to drop the other charge.”

The FEC’s report was false because of your illegal activity, you dumb motherfucker. That’s the whole point.

His lawyer is either having severe heartburn or sending Dinesh a bill for a few hundred hours more work. A federal felon who wants to keep down the time he is spending in jail does not go on TV and trash talk the prosecution. For better or worse, the federal sentencing scheme places a premium on acceptance of responsibility and acknowledgment of the seriousness of the offense. He just flushed any arguments in his behalf his lawyer might have been planning on making on those counts. I thought he had a shot at probation, but now I suggest he pack a toothbrush.

…Fox News “reporter”?

That is, in the most literal sense I can convey here, Dick Cheney’s actual logic for trying to get President Bush to give Scooter Libby a full pardon. “We should let him off the hook because he was fighting the good fight with us.”

Under the plea agreement, he’s facing 10-16 months. More interviews like this one, and he should count on 16 months.

Fox News, “Fair and Balanced.”

If the Obama administration was behind this to go after one of its critics, then why was he allowed to plead out?
If you really wanted to send a message, why not hit him with both charges, let him fight it until he’s broke and sentence him to the max when he loses?
Or am I just thinking like a Republican here?
