How many knew about this before it hit to news? I’m sure all are “delighted” to be on The Trump List–forever linked to him for the rest of their lives.
they are sure to go down in history alongside Vice President Carly.
Why Every Movie Looks Sort of Orange and Blue
humans are orange, at least sort of
Obviously Donald “the draft dodging coward” Trump had his staff call the ABA for a list of people they would not feel are qualified to be named to the SCOTUS.
“He was a Justice who did not believe in legislating from the bench.”
Whitey, please.
Now at least Bernie fanatics know what they are voting for when sitting out the general election.
What’s the point of the Harvard Law thing? Who cares? Is Stanford Law not good enough for you?
There are issues with many of these choices, but the law school attended is not one of them.
How come Roy Bean is missing from his list?
And what about Roy Moore?
Quite the rogue’s gallery.
Larsen was serving in the U.S. Attorney General’s office at the time Bush received legal advice concerning enhanced interrogation techniques some considered to be torture.
For god’s sake, waterboarding has been considered torture by the United States government for decades. We considered it a war crime when the Japanese did it during World War II and prosecuted our own soldiers when they did it during Vietnam. It is NOT something up for debate.
How many went to Stanford?
It may be less so now, but for decades each major law school had a distinct philosophy, so it did matter to how their graduates analyzed, thought, and ruled.

Trump on Scalia: “He was a Justice who did not believe in legislating from the bench.”
Except for that whole Bush v. Gore thingy.
Where’s Harriet MIers name?
Well, technically that was more an executive action from the bench. Totally different and super OK.
Well Ladies and Citizens not wanting Judges’ Religion imposed on you, if you were still on the fence, this will get you to the polls.
Remember when Tom DeLay was all over himself over judges “legislating from the bench?” Things weren’t going his way so he started whining and throwing little hissy fits around DC!!
Having some non-Harvard or Yale or Ivy League educated picks would be a good thing. William Blackmun went to Billy Mitchell School of Law. Stevens went to Northwestern. O’Connor went to Stanford. Those of us in the trenches know that there are too many Harvard and Yale judges in the federal judiciary who never shook hands with a real client, never visited one in the hospital or in a jail, and otherwise have no connection to real life as living, corporeal litigants know it. Whether Trump’s picks fill the bill is another thing.
Don’t worry, it’s just a suggestion.
