While it’s been made clear that nothing Trump does can reduce the adulation of his core supporters, this latest odious affair has effectively built a wall that prevents any expansion of his adherents. In short, Mister Unspeakable has royally screwed himself this time.
Judge Curiel is, obviously, an anchor baby.
This stuff goes on all the time. A man named Curiel has sex with a woman and bores a son. The son grows up on the outskirts of Chicago, does the nerdy well, and, BAM — he’s got it in for Drumpf. It all makes sense to the Glenn Beck/Alex Jones crew.
But here’s what’s really crazy: Gonzalo may or may not have tried surfing.
Okay, he’s a top-notch skim-boarder. But it’s like surfing without having to come to shore to show your papers.
Oh, to love America,
Who’s a hoosier? That’s right. You are.
If there’s ever been a case for impeaching someone before they even become President…this is it.
In one incident around 1997, a top lieutenant in the drug trafficking ring told a bugged government informant while they are both incarcerated that he planned to have Curiel assassinated and had put the request into cartel leaders. The threat prompted U.S. marshals to be placed as security at Curiel’s home and he drove around in in a bullet-proofed Suburban.
I’d suggest they call the US marshals out of retirement and take the bulletproof Suburban out of mothballs. I don’t see much to choose from between Mexican drug cartels and Trump supporters. Trump is dog-whistling as loud as he can, “Will no one rid me of this troublesome judge?” Trump supporters are people who rely on violence as a first resort.
Okay, Donnie, baby, you’ve earned it (again): Christ! What an asshole.
This is essentially no different than what many in the GOP were saying against SCJ nominee Sonya Sotomayer when she was chosen. The only difference is Trump threw out the dog whistles and instead uses a full blown megaphone.
It’s sad for me that this behavior is not surprising. Every time I think he’s gone to far. he says or does something else that has me shaking my head with disgust. Not so much at him, but with how the media still gives him a spotlight and how his supporters - many seemingly normal people - are standing with him. But the most distressing part is how members of the Republican Party are sitting back, not saying a fucking thing.
Then again, why should they? They built this.
On some occasions, Trump claims the Mexicans love him; then, at other times, he uses it as a slur…to scapegoat people. I don’t think he’s fooling anyone.
Trump is in Contempt of Court. He should consider himself fortunate the Judge hasn’t fined him, or thrown his ass in jail.
I guess Mitch McConnell and all the other GOP supporters of Trump believe that this kind of racist attack on a sitting Federal Judge is perfectly okay. The GOP shows its true colors.
Judge Curiel is the definition of heuvos.
Trump is NOT in contempt. He’s contemptuous, which is much different. I don’t know how you would play it but … whenever I might appear before a judge, I would like to be as disparaging as possible beforehand, just to curry favor.
An interesting, if lengthy, take on this from a British perspective:
US election: Understanding media addiction to Donald Trump
“It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS,”
— Les Moonves
I often wonder how Trump supporters see all this and this comment says it all - on an article on this topic in the Hartford Courant this morning.
“michaelj
Have you noticed that the so-called US Dept. of Justice has nothing to do with justice? Would you buy a used car from Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch? Trump has seen his share of “questionable” judiciaries, he is perfectly within his rights to point out the foibles of the so-called court system. This same court system has allowed Obama to shred the Constitution and put it under enormous stress so he can help enact crooked doctrines like TPP to help destroy the nation’s economy and eventually, it’s sovereignty as a nation in the world. To all you that voted for Obama, enjoy living in a future banana republic thanks to your hero, Obama.”
Withdrawn.
Here’s an example of what The Rump likes to see in a judge:
Donald Trump. Diaper wearing temper tantrum throwing meglomaniac. Curiel. A fearless judge who took on the Cartels. Donald Trump…what a sad little man.
And Donald Trump is the very definition of cabrĂłn.
