Discussion: Mea Culpa Time, Baby! Here's Who Donald Trump Must Make Nice With

after Ryan withheld his support of Trump, Trump slapped back: “I am not ready to support Speaker Ryan’s agenda.”

it’s pretty early and the coffee hasn’t quite kicked in but does it make me a bad person to actually agree with Donnie Dimwit on this statement?

Neither Trump nor Ryan are to be believed. They are both extreme right wingers.

Ryan and Trump may be dancing around each other, or at least pretending to, but come November they will be in full lockstep together re: bigotry and racism. They have way more in common than not. Especially regarding bashing women and minorities and destroying economies.

Uhhh, no one?

Why would Donny have to make nice to groups that his fellow Republicans targeted with Voter ID laws? Democrats are deluding themselves if they din’t think Voter ID will stack the deck for Trump and the GOP!

There’s another group of millions of Americans who ought to be completely repulsed and disgusted by Trump: Fathers who have daughters.

The fact that so many Evangelicals support a man who openly creeps on his daughters is testament to how much those hypocrite Bible-bangers actually care about “family values.”

I don’t think Trump feels like he has to make nice with any of these groups. He thinks white heterosexual males that look down on all other races, sex orientations, and females are still a majority and think like he does and they and the few women that fawn over them just need to get out and vote. Fuck everyone else and what they want.

Not just women “get it” Donzy. The rubes may have bought the act but at least 60% (conservatively) of the electorate are a bit shrewder. They understand that if you were acting a part to con the rubes, you’re still doing it. The problem with “making nice” is that there’s lots of video where you insulted and denigrated a whole sections of Americans. When most of them really start paying attention after the conventions, they will be reminded over and over just what sort of person you are: a crude, un-intellectual demagogue who regards most Americans with deep contempt.

Back atcha, Donzy.

I understand where you are coming from. I feel the same way about a quote from Clarence Thomas. It always makes me cringe when I think about it. Hope your day get better.

IF the Donald is elected President, will he be the 1st to be impeached for fraud and income tax evasion?

Only his tax returns will tell and until then the public should be very skeptical of the Donald’s taxes over the years.

Alternatively, the Republicans could circle the wagons and move to abolish the IRS which of course would result in complete chaos and a total government breakdown. That is exactly what southerners want…ever since they lost the civil war.

There is one group Trump does not have to “make nice” with.

The group who asked butterknife questions
The group with no follow-up to lies
The group which provided free $2 billion advertising
The group which, with its “false equivalency”, allowed for GOP lies to equal facts in the first place
The group which would make Abraham Lincoln versus Adolf Hitler into a HorseRace
The group which views “news” as a commercial product, geared to the most fearful and bigoted

The MSM. The MSM is totally responsible for Trump. It could have ended this before it started…but the $$$$$$$ were too great.

Trump does not have to “make up” with the MSM…He simply has to continue to be himself. The Americans who support him have been energized by all of the hoopla…and, to be honest, they are also happy (in a perverted way) for Bernie Sanders…not for anything good he says but for every single thing he says which can be used for their favourite person:

Donald Trump

If the rest of us would not be–literally–living in hell with a Trump Presidency, I would urge it for the simple reason that one of the FIRST things he would go after would be the MSM,

Under Trump, Bill O’Reilly would work for TRUMP, not FOX

Nice summary.

I think I’ll keep this taped to the head of my bed - should help dealing with late-night anxieties about this election.

But to put it in pro wrestling argot, Trump must execute the pivot from “heel” to “face.” From bad boy villain to pretty boy hero.

I get why you would make that reference Tierney, but Drumpf will never, ever, be a pretty boy. Even if he were truthful about his personal wealth (and he’s not) it would not make him even a WWE pretty boy.

The ugly is deep within this one, and it shines right through in everything he does.

No way necessary! Krispy Kreme is onboard to tell any non-beliebers to “SIT (THE “F”) DOWN AND SHUT UP!”

More coffee is in order methinks. This is an old school pissing match and Trumo is a bully as we all know. It all depends on how Ryan responds. They’re meeting right now and the die is already cast. It happened at the instant of the 1st meeting with body language.
Trump is like that blustering bully dog who is newly arrived at the dog park. (grr, growl…grr … fur up) Who then proceeds to pee on every available surface. It’s up to Ryan to point and laugh.
edit
Trump himself has said he’s not gonna change to please anybody. He said he thought unifying the GOP wasn’t necessary. So did his asshat spokesperson.

If he’s talking to a group and referring to women as “they,” then he’s really only talking to men.
“They’ve already taken $90 million worth of ads,” he said. “And their ads are all woman-oriented. You know she is playing the women’s card… She’s going: Did you know that Donald Trump raised his voice when speaking to a woman? Oh, I’m sorry.”

“I mean. All of the men, we’re petrified to speak to women anymore. We may raise our voice,” he said. “You know what? The women get it better than we do folks. They get it better than we do. If she didn’t play that card, she has nothing.”
Yes, it does sound like it. He’s speaking to men but women overhear his manly rhetoric as they perform their kitchenly duties and exclaim “By Golly, he appreciates me! He won’t show me the back of his hand again!”

Who is a Trump supporter, a true Trump supporter? Not just a right-winger that would vote for Lucipher because not a leftie but the actual candidate-Donald Trump.
In fact, I know a few and they are not nice people and have the tell tale mean streak that they barely hide and could care less that it shows.
A Republican that has already let out their inner Teabag and has seen the re-arrival of racism and misogyny and likes it, these are the Trump supporters that just take the natural next step.

I’ve seen a couple of Cruz bumper stickers but nothing Trump. The people that vote for him apparently are just wise enough to know better than to let the public know what idiots they are.

The not so silent-ugly and mean minority. AKA, Trump faithful and/or the rotting Republican base.
