Discussion: McMaster Blasts Russia In His Last Speech As National Security Adviser

Trump: McMaster is an unpatriotic traitor. My apologies to Putin and all of the people in Russia.

Good for him to get his opinion in public record before his is disappeared from Administration’s history as is happening to Rexxon.

but such cowardly words:

McMaster noted that Trump expelled Russian diplomats in response to the nerve agent attack and said that the President has offered harsh words for Russia.

An expulsion which allows for immediate replacement (new spies!) of the personal. And ‘harsh words’ like “Congratulations on your reelection” (in a sham election), when his staff warned NOT to congratulate, and an invitation for Putin to the WH.

Even in his departure speech, McMaster chooses Orwellian words to describe Trump’s actions.

That’s quite accurate, he stood by while Trump provided the Russians with intelligence, and then went on record defending it. He had the opportunity of speaking truth to power and failed to do it.

Dereliction of duty. There is a book about that by a certain JR McMaster

General McMaster, thirteen months serving tRump has tarnished 34 years of honorable military service.

How will you now restore some semblance of honor? Heck, how will you ever rid yourself of the stench?

And on the eve of this sad anniversary, as he left the podium, he was heard to mutter, “Free at last! Free at last! God, almighty, free at last!”

Just getting in a last ditch attempt to make it seem that he is not another treasonous Trump toady before he gets his walking papers.

Sez the guy walking out the door headed for retirement or worse, a defense contracting gig.

Apologies to Putin? You’ve got to be kidding me.

His praise for the Trump’s response is BS but his criticism of what Putin has done is on the mark.

Clearly valid, albeit way too late, criticism of Trump, but also self-serving for McMaster.

Yeah what the US has done isn’t tough enough, but at the same time it’s been wholly appropriate…

“We have failed to impose sufficient costs,” he said in a speech at the Atlantic Council.

He warned that Russia “has used old and new forms of aggression to undermine our open societies.”

Our new NSA will get right on that, starting by goading Iran into an excuse for US/Israeli military action. That should teach Putin a lesson.

You tried, McMaster. Unfortunately, you served ‘at the pleasure of the President’ and he is a clueless moron.

The President also said that he may develop a good relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin and that it would be “a good thing.”

What, is he going to let Putin get to second base now?

Strange how republicans get a case of the ‘Honests’ as they slink off the public payroll.

I am pretty sure there will be goading and pretty sure Iran will not respond. I truly fear that the US will just fake some claim of Iran acting ala Iraq War. It is all just so damn sad.God knows how many deaths will come, how much more hate created and how many more refugees all of whom had nothing to do with anything. I hope I am wrong, but one name makes me fearful I am not: Bolton.

I like me some middle finger to Trump

Ummm, in the one thing that Rexxon got right in his one-year-ish tenure that would be “a fucking moron”, not merely a clueless moron.

I suppose that Trump’s told his junta of tinpot generals including Flynn, Mattis, McMaster and Kelly to check their spine at the door. McMaster is now finding his on his way out after being fired while on the potty. Too little too late.
